Finally found a match for the 1986 vfr750 engine covers.
Picked them up from the powdercoater this week.

PTB-6794 "Bronze Texture," powdercoat from prizmatic powders

It's a good match. I found that Honda used at least 3 different shades over the production run, so this matches the one set of spare covers I had. Another set I have with the original paint is a little more pink. I like this one best.

    Wow! They look great!

Isn't this a "winter" project though?

Installed the covers on the bike today. The side covers were pretty straightforward, kind of a pain removing 30 year old gaskets with a razor blade. The front rocker panel was easier then the rear. Hint, remove all side wires and coils from the back first. For the front, tilt rad forward, and remove fan.[IMG][IMG]

Thanks, I stripped it down to the frame last winter and cleaned, restored or replaced each part.
