I can't get them to upload either. Sent in a message a couple days ago but no reply as of yet. The old site had a step by step on a few things including uploading of photos. I have uploaded here on this platform but can no longer so. Strange

Well due to the track time I've been doing and more I'm planning on doing. I went and added some Pro-bolt pre-drilled bolts, safety clips and safety wire to the 5 Gen. Did the rear caliper bolts, front caliper bolts, fork axle pinch bolts and the front axle. I originally tried drilling the bolts, but broke a lot of drill bits and had quite a few plugged holes with the bits stuck in them! Went with Pro-bolt as it was cleaner, faster and easier. Here are some pics.

Pkastic welding job on front fender bolt hole cracks.
Added metal screen and extra plastic.
Melt with Harbor Fright 80 watt tool.
Looks cobby, but should stay functional.

I mounted a set of Dunlop Q3 +'s two weeks ago. I rode it hard last weekend, harder than I've ever pushed her before. She delivered nicely! I also found out that way up in the VTEC range my VFR can lift the front wheel coming out of a turn! It was unexpected and thrilling at the same time. I felt like a Motogp rider. Lol.

Yeah, whenever chasing the canyons, I typically leave it in VTEC mode by staying in the upper RPMS and yes, every now and then the front wheel gets off the ground!

I took my 800 on a rider training course yesterday . In an attempt to reduce rider accident statistics, our government Accident Compensation Corporation ( a no fault scheme) is subsidising practical training programs. The programs are at a Bronze, Silver or Gold level. As I've been riding continually since 1982 I felt I was probably more of the target market for Gold but thought that might be a bit presumptuous so I went with silver (which also matches my hair).

Had an interesting day of training videos, discussion around road rules and sensible strategy, line selection etc. Then some observed riding, braking and dodging drills (de-linked brakes were awesome) . Followed by 200km of open road riding and my favourite back roads; was no suprise that they made me the leader so the trainer could sit back and observe. I did rid a bit slower than usual, and paid a lot more attention to staying wide on right handers (my personal bugbear) so the practice was good.

Less good was when two of the group decided (independently) to crash within 500m of each other! Really put a damper on proceedings with two bent bikes, a neck strain and one broken wrist. One crasher (XSR700) had been solely commuting for 6 months but was an experienced driver; this was his first taste of open road riding and it didn't go well as he just rode off the outside of an easy bend. The other (another 700cc Yam) was headed back to the first accident scene and overcooked a corner entry and target fixated himself off the outside of an easy bend.

Will I now do a Gold level course.......just maybe. Might be more experienced folk on that one.

Had a surprise weather Day on Sunday. So I rode the Moto to work in beautiful weather and rode it home in the middle of the morning in freezing weather.

I took the opportunity to drive by my school before the sign was taken down. I had won an award in the district and it took days for the shock to wear off and I never hadn't done this yet...so thought it was fun to have Moto take a photo with me.

I am still around when I can and riding in this cold weather that has settled in. I work a couple 30 to 40 hour stints every week. And today and tomorrow will be my 3rd go around since Friday with about 40 to 42 hours with 2 hour nap. Still finding time to ride!

I miss seeing you all and what you are up to in threads, and I'm sorry you are having issues uploading pics. Thursday I may have time to fool around and if I can figure it out I will make a tutorial. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

After installing my new 520 conversion, went for a 3 day ride including a couple of laps of Mount Panorama race track.
Bloody hell its tight and very steep.
