    Honda could learn a thing or two from Ducati about the use of magnesium and other metals to keep the weight down. However, so many people seem to have their VFR's take dirt naps, that it might not be such a great idea

    I agree you can reach a point where seeking weight savings is a bad idea. For example, the folks on the Ducati Supersport forum are warning each other (see quote below) that the Ducati engine cases are so thin now that they should not put any weight on the side stand for fear of penetrating the engine case. Keep this in mind next time someone complains about the weight of the VFR :D

    Just curious, are you referring to manufacture defects or difficulty with maintenance ?
