True about wide angle lenses, my iPhone 10 now has a 10X zoom, which allows better composing and less distortion. You don't get something for nothing, it is a digital zoom for most of the range, although it has a telephoto lens as well, haven't quite figured out the crossover point yet.
Here is a shot of my cat waiting for the door to open! (A little soft at about 7X zoom).

Year ago I had a Hasselblad Super Wide C, fantastic camera. Focal length was so short that the body did not use a mirror like the rest of the line. I took a picture of the inside of the Rochester War Memorial up high in the back seats and you could see every rivet in the ceiling beams all the down to the end!

Is that and old building or a replica? Where is it? What was the name of the winery? I can always google it. One of the most enjoyable part of my trip over to the UK a few years back was seeing all that old architecture. We have so little of that our on our west coast here. And in recent decades, much of what was here, was torn down on the name of progress and new modern fucking ugly buildings went up in their place. I really must get to see our eastern part of the country and the eastern seaboard of the USA for my fill of old buildings.

IMGP1240.JPG This is the General Store and post office in Findlay Manitoba. Or was. No one lives in Findlay Manitoba anymore. My aunt and uncle ran that store back in the 1960's. Even back then, they were the only two who lived in Findlay. I kinda like pix of old dilapidated buildings too. The prairie provinces in Canada are full of old wooden farm barns and sheds that are just waiting to fall to the ground.

I am not sure the name of these falls but I am fairly confident that they are on the Yellowstone River in Yellowstone National Park. This was taken after I went on my 2012 Bike Retirement Tour, and went home, packed up the fifth wheel and carried on with my 2012 Retirement Tour With Wife. I failed at retirement though. Moss on trees in the bush really gives a photograph a certain mystique. This is taken on Teapot Hill trail just south of Cultus Lake, about 10 minutes from my doorstep. At this point on the trail, it is about a half hour hike. The moss is a good indication of how much rain we get through the fall winter and spring here. IMGP2092.JPG IMGP2091.JPG

When I switched majors and college to photography, I went to work for a commercial studio for the summer. Didn’t know much film & deveoping, I learned in a hurry when they gave me some 8 x 10 b&w negatives to develope in trays, first batch looked like I walked on them in cleats! Did alot of b&w film & printing and some color printing on a Kodak drum system as my first job as Public Relations Photographer at RIT. I was a fan of Ansel Adams and the zone system. I am fortunate to have an original Ansel Adams print, printed by the the only one licensed to print his negatives.

If you are really serious about photography:
    Screen Shot 2017-12-12 at 9.16.23 AM.png

While planning an assignment at the Sundance Film Festival, Will took advantage of the vintage look achieved with a large format camera and the wet-plate process to bring a different light to the faces that we see photographed so often. At the shoot, she set up a mobile darkroom and developed each plate as it was taken, often capturing only one image of a particular subject during each sitting.
