I thought the same thing. All the YZ's and CR 250 weigh around 200 lbs. And 90 hp? Something does not add up. But if it is real they would be a bad ass bike.

Sending the forks out to LDH for service (Kyle Racing). Used an old gun case for shipping. Last year I did 1 track day.......... I plan on doing a lot more this year. My son got together with the rest of my family and they bought me a set of slicks for Christmas. Really cool present and was totally surprised. Getting new brake pads from Mike and going to rebuild the clutch master.

Anyone else following the Dakar this year?

Usual staggeringly long and difficult stages, last years winner, Brit Sam Sunderland was holding first place until day 4 when he rode into a hole in the desert and hurt his back, managed another 5 Kms before having to quit and be helicoptered to hospital

Honda in the lead, just, less than 2 minutes after 6 days

    OVERALL STANDINGS after Stage 6
    1. (47) Kevin Benavides (Honda) 16h33m20s
    2. (4) Adrien Van Beveren (Yamaha) +1m57s
    3. (2) Matthias Walkner (KTM) +3m50s
    4. (5) Joan Barreda (Honda) +9m33s
    5. (8) Toby Price (KTM) +9m39s
    6. (19) Antoine Meo (KTM) +10m42s
    7. (23) Xavier de Soultrait (Yamaha) +11m24s
    8. (10) Pablo Quintanilla (Husqvarna) +16m42s
    9. (3) Gerard Farres (KTM) +18m08s
    10. (9) Stefan Svitko (KTM) +29m11s

KTM sure had a presence, 50% of the top 10 finishers! Haven't followed this in decades, who has been dominating the event in the past? The last I really followed this, I think the original Africa Twin was new!

Interesting to see if WSBK will have a few GP riders this year.

The one's that might end up there, are going to, for a reason. Watching Nicky move to Honda was gut wrenching, then it just got worse from there.

I always wondered if Rea would take a stab at GP, But he's 31 next month. Still would like to see what he could do. I remember he rode GP, I think in Laguna for someone years ago.

Hard to say. He still has this year on his Kwacker contract and said he wouldn't move, unless he was on a front line machine and factory team. He's capable of running the pace. When conditions have been optimum for the superbike and Pirelli's, he's been as quick, or quicker, than MotoGP lap times at joint tests.

Rea subbed for Stoner on the Honda at the Misano and Aragon rounds in 2012, after Stoner broke his ankle at Indy. Finished inside the top ten at his first race at Misano.

John McGuiness plans to try a comeback this year all things permitting, his spinal injuries are progressing well and he's left Honda, unsurprisingly

No confirmation of links to other teams apart from Mugrn, although links to Norton have denied by both sides

There's an exclusive interview in this weeks MCN plus a test of the Moto2 Triumph, enjoy it Drew
