IMG_20171231_093727037_HDR.jpg thanks, started putting it back together yesterday...still waiting on left side fairings and complete tail fairings and seat cowl, going to change spark plug and rear brake pads, there was no pad material left, just backing plate against rotor.

wasn`t sure I would like it blue...but I paint cars so repainting it does not take much for me..I took some old cans of of different blues and dumped them all together ..to cheap to mix up new paint

painted and assembled.just needs a good scrubbing now

...motor misses under hard throttle. I put some fresh 93 octane in with some carb cleaner...going to run that through and see what happens...if still an issue I put plugs and check carbs 20180107_113909.jpg

IMG_20180107_165759361_HDR.jpg cleaned it up some, put in new plugs and ran carb cleaner through it but did not make a big difference...guess I will have to pull carbs and go through them..was trying to avoid having to do that

Looks great! I know what you mean about pulling the carburetors, I have had to do that more often than I should have. Some extended storage and neglect on my part.
Keep after it, that's a nice motorcycle.

Bodywork guys have a lot of guts.
Doing small repairs and touchups, my biggest fear is totally ruining it. Stops me from attempting many things.
May I ask where you sourced the body panels from?
Blue looks fab. Custom mix? Another bold move :)

it`s done. I shortened the 2 brothers exhaust, it jus looked awkward with it sticking out past back of bike, took about 4 inches off it..been riding it daily for last 2 weeks, my RSV1000R starter sprag took a shit and waiting on new one to get here 20180310_100214.jpg

The paint job looks good, from far. Joking, but you can’t really tell unless you have closeups.

I started painting mine last year before winter and first time using spray gun I can say it’s not easy to do some of those panels.

Question I have is the front fender supposed to be ABS? Because mine is white under paint and seems to be PVC so acetone does not work on it.

That was a very subtle and nice touch with the muffler.
