Have to say, although I love my black 09, the VFR looks so good in white.

I think i get what you are saying,.. not great in a crash,..

Its all i can do to wear these,.. i always rode bare hands in the past,.. if im honest im still trying to get used to the feeling of gloves on my hands, I don't like the feel of it at all,.. I don't feel as in touch with the bike,.. makes me kinda nervous sometimes. Im sure its just a learning curve thing, but i have seen enough pictures of falls no gloves to make me wear the damn things.

No way i could handle even bulkier gloves though, im already kinda struggling to really feel the levers like i like to.

I hear you and not all gloves are made the same. Unfortunately, the ones that offer the best feel are usually race gloves (RE: $$$) but there are some good gloves with great features and not a lot of money. Been a big fan of Knox gloves and they have some good models that don't break the bank, even other makes that use their SPS technology that are decent too. Scorpion SG3 MK2 have the Scaphoid Protection System (i.e. Palm sliders) and are less than $150. Usually goat or kangaroo skin will give you better feel but again, these cost a little more. I'm usually in the "something is better than nothing" crowd, so wear what's comfortable but take a look around and see what's out there, who knows you might find something that will work for you.

    Cheers!

You will get use to gloves. If I don't have them on it feels weird. lol

    How about other protection? ATGAT?

I don't have full on riding gear yet, i wear some body armor mx style under my jeans, good Thorougood boots that i have no reservations about,.. and same for arms,.. mx style body armor on the arms under a snug jean jacket,.. good helmet,..

I would like to get a one piece riding suit and appropriate boots but it will never happen,..

I joy ride, I couldn't ever give two swuats about touching a knee or some jerkoff pointing out "chicken strips" on my tires,.. i just joyride,.. i may pull the front end up a little and that's about it,.. (and not very proficiently yet either,.. on the wheelie)

I dont know if its wheelbase length or the fact that my RF900 had the timing delayed on the first gear so it didn't power wheelie,.. but good lord does this thing wheelie in first.

Still not loving the Throttlemeister if im honest, back to leaning to yanking it,.. it distracts me while riding as well as the silly ass V-tech vs just linear power delivery,..

Its a cool bike though, clean used bike what else you gonna ask for.

    Mine was $2,750
