According to MM, it was because he wasn't pushing and was losing his concentration that caused him to slip up. Ironic huh?

Great to see MM/Honda on the podium at Qatar - almost pulling off a win on the very last turn! I don't think he got on the podium last year til the 3rd race at COTA which he will surely win again next month as he's unbeaten there. With such a great start to the year I predict MM will easily win "one for the thumb" this season - except I don't think they really get a championship ring for winning MotoGP - or do they? :D

Honda, please give us (including the USA) a 2018 Repsol VFR800 Interceptor SP to celebrate last season's championship - I would trade in my '14 for one immediately if you do! Just add Ohlins, Brembos, titanium exhaust and fuel tank, lithium battery, slipper clutch, "hand selected" engine parts, up and down quick shifter, and a REPSOL colorway - thanks in advance!

With that list of items you want for the Honda you just described an Aprilia Tuono. Excepted has about 75 more horsepower and weighs 100 pounds less. LOL

They are such amazing bikes tho! I fell in love with the Tuono in the first few minutes of riding one. Then, when the road got twisty... oh my!

So if the Tuono has everything you are asking for and a lot more, why not get one?

Personally for me, I'm paying off debt and building my business. It's definitely something I'm going to do.

A factory Tuono is not cheap but it does come with just about everything. 2017 on is the way to go.

I love my VFR too. Best all around bike ever? Highly questionable. Perhaps for you.

Oh yes it is - I've been lusting after white VFRs since I first saw one in the '80s - I won't be tempted away by some half-naked Italian supermodel you keep pimping :D

Now back to racing, sort of, another MM/DP pumping gas vid just got uploaded on the MotoGP site - love it when the old guy tells MM to let someone else win - LOL:

Yamaha started doing funny videos like that about 10 years ago. The original is better and Edwards as security officer with his southern drawl is funny. Here is the original. and a newer one.

    And a newer one.

GG I was wondering what the VFR has that the Tuono does not have, you said it doesn't.

Other than the great deals you can get on a VFR. Very cheap.

Off the top of my head:

    - Honda winged badge on side (and all the quality & reliability it represents compared to anything made in Italy)
    - "Interceptor" badge on side (such a kick ass name - WTF is a Tuono? :D )
    - 30+ year V4 legacy (compared to 10 years?)
    - pearl white paint (ultra sexy!)
    - single sided swingarm (super sexy!)
    - full fairing (I'm just not a fan of half nakeds)
    - centerstand (very convenient - wouldn't want to live without one now)
    - LED headlights/integrated signals in mirrors (VFR looks modern and up to date - Tuono's lights make it look dated)
    - 5.6 gallon tank (excellent range!)
    - matching hard luggage (although I haven't needed them yet)
    - lots of other little things (e.g., heated grips and self cancelling turn signals - I don't know if Tuono has those or not)

Allrighte then GG, glad your happy. The word Tuono means Thunder in Italian and they have been around for about 16-17 years. How many bikes have you owned and how many different manufacturers have you thrown a leg over? There are a lot of wonderful bikes out there other than Hondas. Nothing wrong with a Honda, I have had a lot of them.

Meanwhile back to this thread, WSBK Thailand this weekend!!!!!!!!!

Marco on the Duc is giving the Kawi boys a fit. He is Pedro small but with much larger nads.
