Nice bike, roniz1, I also believe that your bike will not be mistaken for anyone else's.

That black 09 could have been me. Did it have a Givi top case?

Spotted a white 6th gen on the side of the road on hwy 59 on the Oklahoma/Kansas border (middle of nowhere). Stopped to give assistance only to find it was our own A.M taking a silhouette of her bike in the setting sun...nice meeting you, hope you had a great ride.

Our own AM will show up anywhere. Nice spotting and good on you for stopping to render assistance if needed. You should prim that feather in your cap. I can't hep but wonder how many people would just ride by.

Rhinoware stopped his sweet ride so fast in horrible gravel shoulder to give help to a rider in the ditch.

When he asked if I was headed to Wichita and asked if I was A.M, I was freaked out and lost all my manners.... ! How did he know where I was going? And my name?!! Who is this knight?!!

Next time you find me in middle of nowhere Kansas, you come have a sit down with me if there is a better place to park your sweet car and it isn't freezing...that would help. And we will have a jolly good time

Then you can chase me across the Kansas prairie.

Boy that ride home was not OK! Sooo freezing into the night!

When this snow goes away, let me know! We'll go for a ride!

    Here's for you kind sir!!

Yep, very good on him. He was very ready to help.

Many people do just ride by. Drive by. Honk by. Heckle by. Trash by. Creep by. I've seen it all on my miles on the road.

I got followed down southern Kansas country roads last fall by a creep one night who hollered at me where was I going.

He had seen me in a town on the only Road leading out into the country. I slowed way down and just let him get really ahead of me. About 5 minutes after that I saw him pulled off, back in to a little Drive. I thought f*** ...

Sure enough like I knew he would he pulled out behind me. So I pulled off onto a road that I needed and just sat there at the very corner of the main road which was fairly busy.

When he pulled in as well, there was a van behind him so I knew he wouldn't just stop because he had to keep going. He was going so slow up the road that the van passed him. But he kept going. So I thought okay I can keep going now. Wrong.

He actually backed up all the way down this long country road to get back behind me so he could be following me. I pulled into some country house, he stopped at the house too, asked where I was going, I flipped him off and kept my helmet on thinking that if I had to defend myself my helmet was the only thing that might keep me alive because I could beat him with my head. I took a photo of a street sign and messaged it to a friend really fast just in case I ended up missing, and went up to the porch acting like I owned the place and he drove off.

I called the local police. Found out later he is well-known drunk ruffian in the area. The police asked me what I was doing out there all alone and to never come there again without a weapon (I was not carrying either of my current Rugers that night as one was in WA and one was purchased as a back up because of this).

Guess most crime there happens out there in that country area. And in this particular night the crime that may have been perpetrated had I stopped and interacted with him was already being premeditated in town when he first saw me.

Yet some care and will stop or turn around and ask if I'm okay or want a hand signal that I am okay or not. Those who stop with kind intentions are definitely rare angels.

Though I can understand the not stopping ... it's scary nowadays not knowing if stopping to help will lead yourself to being victimized.

Too many psychos on the roads these days... Always be ready.

Think of it like when you take a lady out for the evening you should be remain sober enough and ready to fight for her honor or yours!:cigar:

Yeah, the sheriff explicitly told me if I come out here I need to be carrying. By time something happens out there in the country it has been too late for them to get out there in time to help in some cases. I'll know better next time. But it's pretty sad when a person can't go out into a Kansas Prairie and not have to worry about that.
