Name is Matt. From Pennsylvania. Just picked up a '96 a couple weeks ago... was great, then it sucked in some RTV to a main jet thanks to idiot previous owner.

Tore the carbs off to clean the carbs up and while it sat waiting on new gaskets it's like the entire bike just fell apart. Gonna be making a new post in the appropriate forum but just wanted to say hi!

Hi Matt, welcome to VFRWORLD. I understand that you are focused on repairs at this time, but when you get a chance, post up a photo or two of your new-to-you ride.

I have literally no good pictures of it right now, lol. It needs paint. I'm thinking of having it hydrodipped white or yellow. o:

Looks good in the photo. You have a Staintune High Mount pipe? If so, you are amoung a small group of envied owners.

Keep us updated with any changes in color, or other updates.

Yes sir, good eye. It's in damn near brand new condition, too. Love the way it sounds, haha. Just out of curiosity, what do they usually sell for in the states? I'm only able to find new ones and not even for the 750's any more.

Check the website here http://staintune.com.au/pages/price-and-model-listing-2014 Not sure what the cost of shipping is, or better yet, if there is a dealer in the USA. According to this, the most recent 2017 price listing, the muffler is available for the 4th gen.

Mine also came with the high mount Staintune, so I haven't checked to see if it is still available.

Welcome Matt, hope repairs are straight forward.
My understanding is those Staintunes are pretty much like hens teeth— sounds like a V8
