This is from a friend who has been very good with predictions through the years, he follows it closely. I wonder if Crutchlow will get a shot at the factory Honda ride after Pedro retires.

    2018 Silly Season update
Strong rumors that Joan Mir has signed a 2 year deal at Suzuki. The mood not sounding good over at Ducati with regards to Lorenzo. Should he lose the Ducati seat his only real chance may be a satelite Yamaha. Of course at the moment, there is no satelite Yamaha next year, though Marc VDS is the favorite.

That leaves Miller and Petruci fighting for Lorenzo's seat. And Iannone to Aprilia.

Riders out probably include Redding and Smith. Bautista. And Lorenzo.

Mir signing for Suzuki likely gives Pedrosa another year at Repsol Honda.

So I thought I’d check out the SSP300 race again as Ana Carrasco was in pole position. Wanted to see how she’d do at Donington...another walk away win and opened her points lead. Have to say that VDM did an excellent job this weekend, in fact both Yamaha riders did. Ducati didn’t fare as well but Chaz was able to salvage a good finish today.

Race 2 was even better, Sykes and Rea did some incredible passing and fairing banging. Yamaha is definitively back!

Cherry picking the lower classes now. Never accomplished much in the other classes she raced, other than being first woman to do this, or first woman to do that. Ya wanna get treated equal? There ya go.

Great Superbike race, Dean Harrison broke Michael Dunlops record from a standing start, he looked like Rea the tidy way he was drifting the Kawasaki through Ramsey

On the 4th lap the Kawasaki had enough and Michael Dunlop took a popular win for the Tyco team, he dedicated it to Dan Kneen his team mate who died on Wednesday during practice

"Silicone Engineering Kawasaki mounted Dean Harrison shattered the record books in the delayed RST Superbike TT Race on Saturday.
From a standing start the Bradford rider lapped in a seemingly incredible 16:50.384, to give an average lap speed of 134.432mph, the first 134+mph lap in TT history and a new absolute lap record.
In response second placed rider Michael Dunlop, the previous lap record holder, lapped at 17:01.700 - 132.943mph.
The second circulation saw Harrison maintain the pace, despite slowing for pitstops and, with an advantage over Dunlop amounting to over sixteen seconds, Harrison's team were in a comfortable position to ensure that they got everything right without undue time pressure"

Just to remind you ..plus of course PLAY IT LOUD

Thanks John, I watched it on the big screen TV with the home theatre sound cranked up. Terrifying racing, lol. The guy with the cell phone hanging off the stone wall was inches away from the bikes. Just amazing.

That was a nasty crash by Pirro.
I wonder if JL is now still being considered staying at Ducati. MM stayed with the bike to the end with his crash, he kept the rear spinning the whole way. Moto 2 and 3 were fantastic.

Drew have you tried signing up for the TT live?

    It's FREE and brilliant

    iomtt.com

Forgot about Connor Cummings, the 6'6" Manxman started the race as #1 on the road, Dean Haarisoncaught him up by lap 3 after which the 2 of them stayed together for most of the lap, Cummings was with him when the Kawasaki gave out so he ended a well ridden 2nd .....on the Fireblade

As much as I’m not JL fan I was cheering for him to take the win, it was very much like the Jorge of old, got out in front and never looked back. Hopefully this is not just a one off win, I really miss the battles that he was part of, let’s see how the remainder of the series goes.

Really dug the Moto3 race, the three podium finishers did an awesome job of giving and taking it! Have to say that Martin sure looked like he had turn 1 sussed, just about every time the other two passed him on the slip stream, he was first out of the turn!

Kudos to Oliveira. That was another great fight at the front, what looked like a runaway win for Pasini, turned out to be a great fight for first. Mir looks like he’s going to be on the podium more this year, sounds like Suzuki think so.

A few more wins on the Duc and I bet he stays at Ducati.
WhT do you think of Rea being a teammate with MM? Looks like it’s going to happen.

Funny, the post race interviews with JL make it sound like he's got one foot out the door already, kind of like, "Thanks for finally getting the bike I asked for but too little, too late guys, I'm out of here!" But Dall’Igna is saying "Never say, never". We'll see. If JL can win a few more like he did today, I'd say it's a possibility.

As far as Rae goes, I'm split on that, as much as I like to see him set new records in WSBK, seeing what he can do on a factory MotoGP would be cool. As you mentioned, he did alright the times he filled in when he was with Honda. That being said, that would mean Dani is out? Any word on where he would go? I say a Honda test rider would be a good place to put him. He's definitely better than the guy they have now. He never seems to do well when they put him in a race.

Too bad MM couldn't make the save. Nice to see Rossi on the podium yet again and in 2nd place for the championship behind MM

MM tried so hard! He fought it all the way to the end. I thought for a second he was going to do it, then I saw the line of rubber that his front tire was laying down as he approached the gravel and then thought, Nope! A valiant effort, that's for sure. There's a MM POV video showing his lean angle about the time the front gave out. It looks like it was right around 61 degrees.
