As far as motocross...the entire sport started in Europe, surprised any self respecting, god fearing, American would jump on any type of European band wagon and talk about it out loud, especially in this day and age.

I was in Japan during the Nagano winter games, they would only show the Japanese competitors, so my hunch is that this is a global thing and not just an American thing.

I probably should have said supercross. When I was in GB they seemed to watch whatever whether it was their team or not, but hell I was in a bar or 3 so it might have just been they turned it to whatever.

I do have to agree with ya, Reg. Nationalism is on a steep rise these days....BREXIT comes to mind and our current administration seems to think they can go it alone, people seem to be hunkering down and reverting to tribal mentality and instincts...back to the future.

He did sign, it was announced at the pre-race press conference. I think it might have jinxed MM as JL is on top of the time sheets after FP2 and MM is 12th!

Welcome back to the metronome! Nice try from everyone but wow, what an attrition rate today, nearly 14 riders finished. Nice Ghost Rider impression by Rabat too!

Yeah, lap one was about the only lap not in the same range 1:40.xxx, pretty impressive considering where he was two races ago. MM did his best to keep him on his toes but even he said JL was just faster today. What was also something to see today was the number of riders who crashed out. I believe it was a 26 rider grid and at least 12 didn’t finish!

I like the what thu...?? aspect of today's race. I am among the naysayers who'd written Lorenzo off, but was thrilled to see something differnet happen at the front in Catalunya. In the immortal words of Monty Python "And now for something completely different!"

Ducati must have a bitter sweet taste in their mouths........
Wonder what MM is thinking watching JL ass during the race. I'm far from a JL fan but he has found something.

Just watched the Moto2 race, WTF?! After Oliviera goes from 17 to 2, gets rear ended on the front straight...after the checkered flag!

During my last stint at corner working, we kept seeing potentials of this as a lot of the students wouldn't raise their hand before exiting AND stayed on the racing line. Some would wait until the very last minute and dive over to exit, most still not raising their hand! What was also funny was that many would raise their hand before entering the last corner and then put their hand back on the bar right before the corner and not raise it just before the exit. Almost all day we saw this going on. Some appeared to not raise their hand in defiance, as I would raise my left arm and point to it and they would look and nod and then not raise their hand as they exited.

When the Ducati crew chief was asked if the tank they made for JL did the trick "no, but making it for him did"

Catching up on Pit Lane this Friday afternoon, the very aggressive Josh Herrin is racing both MotoAmerica and WSBK this weekend.
Definitely one of my favorite riders in MotoAmerica.
Also Wayne is also sayin with the new Dunlop’s for his series, that the lap times are goin to be close or matching WSBK times.
Bummed I’m missing it again but need to make $$$.
D and the gang, let’s plan on next years race fer sure.
Whole lot of racing this weekend
    ENJOY

Just talked to Michael Wheeler at Kyle Racing to see if he was working the races again this year. He was there all last weekend and all this week too. He is co sponsoring Bryce Prince. I think Bryce won super stock a few years back but has been having a hard time on the R6 this year. Mike completely overhauled his suspension to a full top of the line Ohlins. Bryce rode the KTek suspension to its limits, this should help a bit. Keep an eye on the TV and you might see one of our members cranking on a bike.

Well that was another good ride but rather boring race 1 in WSB, MVDM was way down the field, Lowes did well, otherwise a fairly predictable race

Rea did a nice save just show how on the edge he really was

Laguna Seca is such a great circuit, the COA in Texas is not
