Is it possible to swap the handle bars from side to side? It looks like it would move the bars back about an inch. I have already added risers.
I would really like a set of Heli-Bars or Convertibars but they are just not in the budget right now.
If you have done this, please share any tips.
    Thanks
    Rob

Technically you could but you'd also have to raise them up a bit as they have a tab that hangs down to go into the space on the triple clamp. This is to help with alignment. The one issue you will also have is that the throttle side has a small hole in the bottom of the bar where the bottom half of the throttle housing pin fits into. If you can match where the hole would be on the left bar and drill a hole and align the throttle housing correctly, you could most likely get away with it.

Not yet, wanted to redo my wiring first with better quality wire and add fuses. And it has been great riding weather here in Maryland. I am also concerned that the factory bars will be too low and hit the tank at full lock. I am hoping to find a set of used Heli-bars first.

I'm using Apex 3 inch rise clips on my 97 VFR. Had a set on my 93 VFR too. Super adjustable, well made and about $100 cheaper, new, than helibars.

I never got around to trying the swap. Installed the LSL handlebar conversion this morning instead.
