I need to just loosen it enough to articulate the bottom of the shock back a half inch for my lowering link to work properly. Is there any reasonably easy way to access the top bolt to loosen it? I've had the tank and side trim panels off but every way I look there's something blocking access. Curse you Honda engineers!

If you're talking about the bolt that goes horizontally through the shock, it is a PITA but may require you to loosen the bolt that goes vertically through the frame so that the shock sits lower in the frame. At least that is my recollection of when I had to deal with the shock.

Okay. I see exactly what you're saying. I'll try that when I get the time. Thanks!
