    ...and hello ADV world!

So, I just traded my 8th gen on a brand new 2017 KTM Super Adventure T.

Time to go explore all those dirt roads I've been passing all these years :Yo:

I tried, but it kept failing after the upload hit 100%. "There was a problem uploading your file. "
It worked just fine in the 8th gen forum over on VFRD.

Thanks Greg, but I've seen that one, and just about every other one on YouTube! I literally spent an entire day last week just watching Super Adventure videos.

This is one of my favorites...

Nice I'm looking to move into the superduke GT, but I'm waiting to see what team green has underneath it's sleeves.

I'll probably stick around for a while. I can still help out those with a question that I happen to know the answer to. But I must admit that I have already joined advrider

Looks like they finally fixed the file upload function.
So here's my garage Saturday morning, and then Saturday afternoon...

Which engine is in that one? I've ridden the 1090 Adventure R. I liked it. Crazy comfortable! I could easily be on it all day long. I mean, I've already done that in my VFR, 600 mile days, but the upright riding position was really nice!

    Never mind, I read it's the 1290.

Yes, in the Super Adventure it is indeed the 1290 (1301cc).
It is rated at 160 hp and 103 lb-ft, and only weighs about 15 lbs more than the VFR.

KTM decided to make things really confusing for 2017...
It used to be the 1190 Adventure and Adventure R and then the 1290 Super Adventure.
Now it is the 1090 Adventure R, 1290 Super Adventure R and 1290 Super Adventure T. (With a 1290 Super Adventure S added that the US won't get).
The SAT is still basically the same as the 15/16 SA.
The SAR is basically the same as the old 1190 AdvR but with a 1290 motor and a new front end with LED lighting and a TFT digital dash.
The SAS is the same as the new SAR, but with more street wheels & tires.

Hmmm...I hate to be mean Dave, but I got to say that even though your new bike is extremely capable, it is downright fugly compared to your old 8th gen - you kind of replaced a Ginger in your garage with a Rosie :D But then again, there are very few bikes as beautiful as the 8th gen.
