    Hi everybody,

My first post, but not my first visit.

I have a question about saddlebag compatibility. I have a 2005 Silver VFR, with factory saddlebags (courtesy of David Silver Spares). Unfortunately, my bike got knocked over, and cracked the right side bag. Now I'm looking for another set, and that is next to impossible. I've been told that the bags for the 2005 are discontinued, but I have found silver bags for 2008-2009. My questions for everybody are:

Will the 2008-9 still fit on my bike? Dealers say no, but what is different?

Is the silver from 2008-9 the same as the 2005 silver?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Matt

Physical fit is identical for all of the 6th gen OEM panniers. The silver will be different though I believe. If I remember correctly, one is more of a pewter and the other is a lighter silver. The cheap option would be to plasti-dip them to match with a complimentary color like black.

Just as a point, go back to the dealerships and tell them to look up the part numbers on their computers. Those idiots should then see that the part number for that saddle bag is the same for all years of the 6th gen.
