Here's a link to the story from Laguna Seca... http://vfrworld.com/threads/and-so-it-ends-for-the-day-anyway.54121/#post-572216

That thread title is a play on my rebuild thread, "And so it begins". http://vfrworld.com/threads/and-so-it-begins.52776/

I need to get a photo of myself like that one, and use it for my computer desktop background.....
And also make a poster of it, so years from now I can remember what it was like before I got old.....

A little upgrade for my '99 5th Gen...

Getting my new-to-me 3rd Gen ('92) 8-Spoke rear wheel ready to go for the 2018 riding season. Today I got a Bridgestone T30 Evo tire (180/55ZR17) mounted.

Damn that sucks, But I have been out with a bad back for almost two weeks. I am going to the doctor but all things point to sciatica. So I know some of you pain!;-)

Sciatica is usually a symptom of some other injury. Usually a pinched nerve hopefully, or far worse, a herniated disc. Hopefully for your sake, it is not a disc issue. Speaking from experience, which I have been living with since 1978, success with treating disc injuries with surgery is limited. Don't rush into surgery if you can find something else to give you relief.

Thanks Randy, my brother ( A hospital admin-RN and CLSW) and a sciatica sufferer for years gave me some advice and his interpretation of what I have. I have tired to use muscle massagers, ice and heat. I have an appointment with my regular doctor and will go from there. My brother has avoided surgery for years knowing the statistics of recover vs. loss time at the job and cost. He has a ruptured disk due to sports. He has had the injections many time and told me about exercises. I just want a plan so I can walk, ride and avoid the depression as you know of chronic pain! I just need to know if it is the disk as you say or something more manageable. So I will try to be happy and curse the day that I worked on the project I did. I have pondered over filling a work mans comp report, but it is hard as shit to make that sick even though it did happen at work. My bro advised me to have a rock solid account and follow up with the clinic they use. But said the chances are shit to none being in the Admin of health care stating sadly that back injuries are the #1 true and fraudulent claim in the insurance industry. For now Beer is my therapy until the exercise balls, mats arrive!;-)

Have you ever tried an inversion table? I have had one for years and at any sign of back pain I'm on it. Just 5+ min really helps me.

Basically that is traction. I agree with your 100%. I go to physio regularly where I get traction which does give me very temporary relief, but relief regardless of how short is good.
