eBay seller canceled. Thank goodness I got the PitBull! Thing works just fine.

I called my dealer today but the parts manager was off for the Thanksgiving break. Hopefully it's all comes together. Six months after placing the order.

Partially because I wanted them and partially out of desperation, I ended up buying a pair of Pitbull stands - the front was from a local seller, used but practically brand new. The rear was purchased online and I have yet to receive it.

I plan on following-up with my dealer today. My guess is that I'll just be refunded the purchase price because the kits are just impossible (maybe discontinued?) to find nowadays.

They sell the 2017 model here in Oz with a centre stand so they must still be a\available, see if you can find the part number.

Yes, there is a part number, for the kit, and the actual stand itself, but they are seemingly as scarce as unobtainium.

I did request a refund from my dealer. They're sending me a check for the amount which was $50 for the kit. Installation was free but I guess I can't get anything back from that.

I did ask about buying everything a la carte but unfortunately, in addition to the fact that it would cost $200+ for the individual pieces, a few of those parts are on backorder now. It's not clear if those parts, like one or two bolts and/or washers, is holding up the production and distribution of the entire kit or not.

    :/

They all get them from the same Honda warehouse. Nobody will have them (as a kit,) even if they let you order it. They will have to wait for Honda to provide stock from JP, which currently has an unknown date.

Sucks but Pitbull has stands, they work, and I like mine. If Honda ever fulfills any of my orders I'll post up.

Tried to buy the kit last week. My local dealer told me they are not being sold anymore. I suspect Honda realized they were selling it way too cheap compared to buying the stand and supporting hardware individually. I've just got my bike, so it's a choice between a Pitbull stand or buying the center stand and parts - which I did. Yes, I've got a wonderful installation job ahead of me, but the OEM center stand is more versatile than the Pitbull, and about the same money.

The usual skin scraping job with centre stands is putting the spring on

Put one end in a vice, bend the spring to one side and slide a washer in, repeat on the other side and carry on until the springs is long enough to go on easily, then extend the stand until the washers drop out

    hmmm..

That kit of parts shows up as a available for 73 bucks from the following website in the USA - https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya/honda/main-stand-08M70MJMD00

I did not click the add to cart - so I guess it may be just another back order option but if you are still looking for a stand it might be worth investigating.

Shit, sorry guys for all of the issues on f models trying to get a center stand. I still feel bad that I found one complete for $60 two years ago. It just seems odd that both models did not come with it standard in the U.S.

Got my stand and parts in today, unfortunately forgot to order the spring washer which I'm waiting on from my local dealer. A glorious weekend of skinned knuckles and much profanity awaits.

Not sure if anyone has caught this, but item #2 on this list is for the wrong collar. The proper collar needed is for the right side main stand and the part # is 50503-MJM-D11. Either way, this post was extremely helpful in sourcing the parts as the kits are no longer available.

I too ended up throwing my hands up, and just bought a Pitbull rear stand (in addition to the front one I picked up second-hand). I figure it's almost total unobtainium at this point so why bother pursuing it. Yeah, I guess I could have bit the bullet and bought the pieces a la carte but that was 3x the cost.

At any rate, I figured I'd only be using the center stand in my garage for maintenance and winterization anyway so the Pitbull stand fit those two needs and I could get it immediately.

The only dig I found on the PitBull stand is that the bike tends to lean a bit to the right so I shim the right Pitbull wheel with a small piece of PT decking wood to even it out. Not sure if others have experienced this or maybe my stand is faulty.

I thought about the Pitbull, but even buying the centerstand parts ala carte was a little cheaper than the Pitbull stand. Despite the install time, I don't regret buying and installing it. Hope your current setup works out ok for you.
