    Hi,

I'm from Switzerland and I'm riding a White VFR800F 14' since 3 years now and I'm still happy with it :)

I started with a XTZ750 87', switched to a Kawa Versys 2.5 years later then a 2013 CBF1000F for 4 years and now with the best, the VFR800f.

    Talk to you later.
    Cheers,
    Stewen

    Thanks man !

Don't laugh but I think that I don't have any pictures. I'll wait till she wakes up from her hibernation (there's snow here) and makes some good one with her new exhaust (SC Project).

Welcome to the MadHouse from the south side of Lac Leman where my bikes are in hibernation too.

By the time they made the 8th Gen VFRs, Mr H finally fitted a decent electrical system to the 800 and the result you have a reliable and amazingly capable machine.

Once you break out of the nightmare Basel traffic jams, the city is a great base for riding with the Vosges and Black Forest on your doorstep, and unrestricted German autobahns to discover how well these bikes can keep up with officially faster machines. Once the sun finally clears the roads I am sure you will enjoy some great local rides.

    Take care ATGATT

    Oh un Français !

Many thanks for this lovely welcome message !

Seems that you know "a lot" about my situation ;) I'm living in Basel since few years, I come from Neuchatel [CH] (so french speaker basically, but not French) so I have to admit that I don't really know the roads after the borders. But I have plan to take the "Route des CrĂȘtes" which is one of best french road.

    Cheers,
    Stewen

Welcome Stewen from another noob on forum with a gen 8. BTW I am so envious of the roads you have to ride. Done them in a car but always longed to do a European bike trip, especially now I have the bike to do it with--maybe next year.

Welcome! A white '14 eh? You sir have excellent taste! I wish I was able to ride mine in the Swiss Alps - that would be epic.

I agree Greg riding in the Alps would be awesome, done it in a car but by bike would be something else. You have a great service available in Orlando that will ship and store your bike in Germany and ship it back (http://www.knopftours.com/Web-Site/MotorbikeTransport.html). One can dream can't they?

Thanks Zeta! I didn't know about that - would be supercool to hop on a plane and be riding my own VFR in the Alps the very next day! This quote from their website made me laugh though:

"Motorcycle is stored until the end of the month of arrival in our Orlando secure heated garage"

Um yeah, if you want your tires to melt! :D
