    Hey Guys,

I'm wondering if one of you already tried to remove the mirror and have a handlebar mirror installed instead ?

My idea is to remove them and paste kind of led stipe (kind of drl) to have the turn signal and the position lights at the same time.

Do you maybe know/have an idea how I can close the remaining holes (from the mirror)

    (sorry for bad english)

    Cheers,
    Stewen

Since I lane split traffic, the narrower my bike is the better. This is a very popular mod on Ducati Super Sports and Cafe Racer bikes, I never went that route on that bike either, for the same reason. That being said, there are very bright turn signal bar ends that are available. IMO, this would be a great option as the stock mirrors are some of the best and if the pivot bolt isn't too tight, if your bike tips over, the mirror often just pivots out of the way rather than breaking off. Bar end mirrors are in more danger of getting broken in a tip over, probably depends on the design and quality though. Not saying don't do it, just offering up some other ideas and potential reasons not to go that route.

I know Revzilla is in the U.S. but just a couple of samples of what I was referring to, I'm sure you can find a vendor with similar products where you're located.

I will likely remove mine entirely

I dont find myself using them, and i dont ride after dark if i can help it (deer here),..

I feel safer rolling around and looking over my shoulders but thats just my opinion,..

Bar end mirrors also make your bike wider at the point you really dont want the width.

On my Fireblade when I used to commute into central London, I folded the nearside mirror in & drove like a maniac...lol
I left the offside mirror in position so I could be aware of anything wanting to overtake / go faster than me whilst in traffic.. It was also 'on the Blade' a good indicator of how small the gap is - lol - as in that hit first....lol

If you haven't already, you may want to check your local vehicle codes/statutes - some may stipulate a minimum number of mirrors required... (if that matters lol)

As I driver for a living think I look in my mirrors ever 5-10 seconds—- always know what’s in front of you and behind you at all times

Back in the day, I think I actually used to spend more time looking behind me for da cops than in front of me... :D

    Back in the day?
Ha I still ride like I stole it at 61
    Yup that’s me
I don’t do the stinkin speed limit EVER.
Main thing trucking heavy haul your always checking your load— loose chains or straps, and with riding a lot and commuting its just a habit and on the look out for cops.

Duccman, nor do I. Often I do less, often I do more, but I won't have my riding dictated by some arbitrary number on a post instead of what's in front, behind and all around me.
