Howdy ladies and gentlemen. I just got done signing off on a 2010 VFR1200F earlier today, and I figured it would be a good idea to sign up to a forum or two since this will be a totally new experience for myself.

The bike has 9900 miles on it and a mountain of paperwork, two windshields, a corbin seat with rear backrest, throttlemeister bar ends, and a Two Brothers slip on that I really hate. I plan on replacing it with a DAM exhaust soon, but it first needs tires. They aren't the original tires, but they are 6 years old and the front is worn pretty good. I do love the color though. The bike was owned by one of the best painters in the region, and so he sprayed it a House of Kolor pearl orange metallic. I pick it up tomorrow, so I will get some better pictures, but for now this is what I have. [IMG]

I actually bought this one to replace my old war horse, a 1975 GL1000 Goldwing that I have built into a sort of "street fighter meets cafe" blend. The fact that I am replacing one big orange Honda for another big orange Honda is purely coincidence. Here is the old girl in two of my favorite photos of her.

Thank you. The GL was a labor of love and my first bike. It started off as a forgotten brown dust covered memory in an old mans garage. The previous owner turned it into a big fendered bagger, and I turned it into what you see there. Lots of under the surface upgrades, like the upgraded stator, Mosfet reg/reg, big lithium battery, full LED lighting, Racetech gold valves and springs in the forks with a fork brace, progressive rear shocks, the exhaust, and a hydraulic clutch conversion with an upgraded clutch pack. I then stripped all the non-essentials off and have been enjoying her ever since. She just isn't quite the bike I want to ride anymore, so I am sending her to a new home for somebody else to enjoy.

I brought home my new redhead today though. She is even prettier in the sunlight. Took the panniers off for now.

My first riding impressions. It definitely needs a new tires. The exhaust isn't too loud, but I don't like the look or the sound of the two brothers can on there right now. The suspension definitely needs some upgrading, so a rear shock will definitely be on order in the future. The power definitely takes some getting used to. At 75mph on my Goldwing, you had to actually twist the throttle to get up to 90mph. On this I found myself accidentally going almost 100 without even noticing. There is definitely going to be a learning curve with this one.

I think my only real plans to make it perfect would be suspension, an ECU flash, and the DAM exhaust. Other than that, I don't think this bike needs anything.

Thank's for the welcome fellas. I like the emblems too. It's kind of a running theme with my recent vehicle purchases and punisher emblems. My Jeep Comanche had one stuck to the roof under the headliner.

I went and picked up the extra goodies the bike came with, more specifically the Corbin seat. Cleaned it up and put it on.
I have to say, I like the look of it more, and it is definitely a little more groin friendly than the stock seat. Still as hard as a rock, just like my Goldwing's Corbin seat. Seems to be a trademark of theirs.
