    Hey,

New owner saying hello! Already found the forum a great help and looking forward to being part of the VFR community.

Picked mine up a couple of weeks ago, Scottoiler fitted along with a Pyramid Rear Hugger and front extenda fenda. Changed bikes due a longer cummute and got to say I'm loving the VFR.

I've slipped in a photo of my previous bike in for old times sake...

    Pleasure to meet you all.

    Dom

201420ON20VFR DELIVERY TUBE ROUTING_.jpg Hi welcome to the site. Red is the best colour.

On your scottoiler the install is far better if you route it down the brake lines instead of the way you have done it.

The dealer I purchased it from installed it, I’ve already re-routed the final part as it was dropping on the chain and not the rear sprocket.

Will see if I’ve got enough slack to route it your way (or just buy some new tubing)!

Out of interest where did you put your Reservoir?

I’ll see if I can dig out pics of the install.

I did a write up on bikers oracle vfr site but lost the pics on the thread when photobucket pulled the plug.

    Resivoir under pillion seat.

Nice bike, seems the exhaust is a different shape on the European model. What is the attachment on the left middle part of the fairing? Does that front mudguard extender make that much of a difference? Looking at your photo it appears muck would still get slung on the radiator cover. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new bike, happy riding to you.

That exhaust is used on the slightly tweaked for '17 models. The pre-tweaked overseas models had an exhaust that looked the same as the '14/'15 models sold in the good ol' US of A.

    Cheers for the comments Vulcanator,

As stated above the exhaust is standard on 2017+ models over here.
You may need to narrow down your question about the attachment on the left side of the fairing as I’m not quite sure what bit your referring to?

If you could dig out any pics that would be marvellous.

The reason I ask about the reservoir is because I’ve just discovered the position mines been installed in (under the pillion but slightly forward) is stopping me from moving the seat down to the lower setting!

I’m wary of moving it too far back incase I loose the incline (unless you say otherwise)?

Thanks for that Fink, sadly because of some extra wiring from the alarm I don't think mine will fit in the same snug gap as yours.

Still though, I've ordered some new tubing and a couple of routing bits from Scottoiler so will try re-positioning it elsewhere when they arrive.

    Cheers.

On the photo showing the left side, on the black part of the middle cowl (Honda Designation) there appears to be some kind of buttons just forward of where the model stickers are on the frame.

I think that is the factory power outlet. I had read that it was standard on 2017 models.

Interesting, looks like all the decent goodies are not available to the US market.

The exhaust looks close to the 2010-2o13? VFR 1200. Just slimmer!? And what is this circled? I don't think I have one but it has been months since I took the seat off. It looks like some kind of Ox sensor ?

2.png untitled.png my bike.jpg Seeing your 2017 Euro model vs. 2014 U.S. model. I am going back and forth whether liking the black frame or not. I know that this is yours and my opinion means nothing, and it is a gorgeous bike, but I am just posting this for the forum. I always like my frames, wheels or fundamentals in true aluminum color that they are due to scratching the powder coating. But, I also thought all along that the amount of red without and displacement of color was needed on the 8th gen. Stupid "IMO" multiple graphics or colored bikes like the retro race bikes was never my forte. I like a single or dual colored scheme on my ride. I am putting my bike and yours up as well as your last ride (Which I fricken love. Black, silver and gold) Reminds me of my 2003 SV1000s with a copper color and silver all around that just fit right. Any thoughts out there?
