No doubt he soiled his drawers. All the years riding never had that happen. Even in 73 when I rented my neighbors Kawi triple for $20 and never once checking the tires or air pressure. Used to do 100+ all the time with no helmet. Lucky for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure it really counts but a year into owning my first bike, a 2007 CBR125, I was making a right hand turn at a lit intersection and hit a patch of gravel midway that'd been left behind by construction vehicles. I'm not sure if the bike was really going to go down or not, I was still a novice and you can't trust your memories of short stressful events. Either way, through some combination of the front end starting to wash away and my panicked correction I ended up with a 15-30kph tank slapper that ultimately ended up with me and the bike on the ground. The speed was so slow and the bike was nice and small, so no serious damage, I just picked it up and pushed it onto the sidewalk to look it over. Scratched fairing, cracked signal light, ripped pocket in my pants, sore arms, buckets of shame... Besides the addition of some boots and a new helmet I still use all the same gear 8-9 years later, and I watch out for gravel.
I've had it a few times... The worst was at 50mph on a 3 lane dual carriageway I ended up sitting on the tank, feet in midair & the bars bouncing from stop to stop... it eventually sorted itself out and I carried on.... did wake me up.. The fastest I had was whilst 'on it' in 3rd gear @ 125mph on my Fireblade. Driving down a long steep hill, l hit a bump, the front came up about 30 degrees (I was still on full power!!) & when it came down it 'got very interesting for a few seconds...lol at least it wasn't on a bend .. ha, ha, ha. Commuting on a 97 Fireblade with a 16inch front wheel I never really worried too much it - it just happened 3 or 4 times a year.. I did however after the fast slapper, buy myself a toby steering damper. It didn't cure it, just made it a lot more controllable when it happened.

Lots of factors. Steering head angle, Difference in speed between the front wheel and the ground, wheel balance, etc, etc Wiki article... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_wobble Basically, when and if you get it happen, you have to wait for the oscillating to subside before you try to apply large steering / throttle / brake inputs. What can and does happen is that you get thrown from the bike if you try and grip the bars too tight. It's relaxing your grip and waiting for it to sort itself out without crashing or falling off is the key.. it's harder to do than it sounds - lol
Gatorgregg is this a friend of your?;-) I mean 145mph on a rural road with houses. This is SOOOOOOOOOO stupid. I mean I have done some stupid shit. But, I was waiting for a cow, cat or dog to run out in front of this guy. I thought I was safe in southern Utah on some back roads with nothing but desert and had antelope jump out in front of me! I just missed them and did have to stop at a truck stop to change the shorts out. Damn they were my favorite boxers. ;-)
I don't think there are many who would have any sympathy with the guy in the video if he had crashed.. but there is a fairly high chance he's not riding anymore....lol
