Hello everyone I am having some electrical issues with my 98 Honda vfr800 Interceptor everytime I go to put a fuse in the fuse center with the relays connected it pops the fuse in the fuse pump circuit and I have checked all of the wiring harness and there is no exposed wiring is it common for the fuel pump relay and engine cut relay to go bad all because of the RR going bad?

Is it blowing with the key off or as soon as you turn the key? You've recently replaced the RR?

That's a dead short in the fuel pump circuit. Either a hot wire is grounded or the pump is shot.

And it makes no sense why it has a dead short because I checked the wiring and it wasn't exposed whatsoever.

I am no mechanic for sure, but am an electrician. If there is a small crack or break in the insulation on a wire, it can arc and cause a dead short. How you are going to determine if this is the case or not, I can't help you with. But your symptoms are consistant with a dead short. Fuses don't blow for no reason.

Does the fuse fail with the pump disconnected?

No it doesn't it only happens when I connect the fuel pump relay and it blows the fuse out

Have you altered the wiring to the fuel pump relay at all?

Could be an internally shorted relay, replace it. If the issue is still there it has to be a shorted wire.

And by fuel pump relay we are talking aboot a relay with a four wire connector with a brown black wire, 2 black white wires, and a brown wire. Correct?

That is right except one of them is a red wire going into it and that's a solid wire

Not helpful from here, the engine stop relay has a connector with four wires,
    red/orange
    black
    black/white
    and black pink
is this what your looking at?
It will change things if it is.
