Update: The new parts should arrive any day now, and in the mean time I have been cleaning everything in preparation. After removing the two head coolant ports, I believe the leak is originating from the rear head coolant port as the result of a hardened and disintigrating o-ring. Both were a real pain to remove and hard as a rock. Got new ones coming along with all thermostat associated hoses, thermostat, and misc. screws left out by previous mechanics. Some pics for you pic-aholics
I didn't see that your parts list includes new throttle body mounting boots (insulator - 16211-MBG-000). They are $15 or so a piece, and you should get em. Not replacing them when you have the thing apart that far is false economy. If you aren't sure they are fairly new, I highly recommend you put on new ones. I actually ended up with a spare set of them when I re-did my vacuum hoses. Hmmmmm ..... I suppose hanging on to them is kind of pointless now that I am sure my vacuum hose replacement went well. If you can't find boots locally, let me know. I'll sell you the ones I have for $50 shipped. Jose
