    Thanks for the input Pete,

I only ordered the one CCT for now as finances are tight and I'm an idiot.

My current plan is to replace the front CCT, get the bike back together and take it to my local honda bandit ( I mean dealer) to see what they reckon. within the next month or two I'll replace the rear CCT and all exhaust header bolts and gaskets just to be sure.

What did you make of the sound in the video?

Ticking is almost certainly CCT - deal with that first.
How did the bike run before?

I'm with the others I wouldn't drive it sounding like that..

When was the last time it was serviced and did you get the valves checked?
Sounds like your exhaust has been gutted!

Checking the exhaust nuts by tightening them up isn't always the best way lol...
They have crush gaskets that too many people reuse & tighten the shit out of them...
After you change the FRONT CCT run the bike & spray the exhaust joints with water / and a couple of drops of detergent.. if it's blowing it will be obvious.

    Update!

Front CCT changed, this cured some of the noise but the exhaust is definitely blowing, in multiple places.

Plan is to completely remove, clean up and replace the exhaust over the next couple weeks, with new gaskets and sealant. Then replace rear CCT as par for the course.

Thanks for all the input and suggestions, seems you were all right in one way or another.

    Final Update!

So it turns out most of you were right and completely removing, polishing, replacing and resealing the exhaust system made a huge difference to the sound of the bike. BUT I can still hear a noise which I'm attributing to the still unchanged rear CCT.

Next oil change I'll replace that rear CCT and hopefully will be out of the woods.

Thanks for all your ideas and inputs, I'm confident riding the bike without feeling like I'm damaging it now.

Wish could hear results, I would have thought that was a valve noise. Good luck
