Correct. Not likely my mind, for one, will ever change. Yes, some cops do good things. Just yesterday, I was doing 50 in a 55 in the middle of nowhere and a sheriff's deputy flashed his lights at me oncoming. Fuck him. In the town I live in, a cop can't turn on their lights unless dispatch knows about it, why and where. I've also stood next to a cop that refused to even try to help a hurt 19 y.o. in car wrecks saying "he's going to die anyway" and wouldn't get involved in any way. Not all snakes are bad but most people avoid them at best.

Randy, I know I just think that infraction sounds so much better than broken. How do you break or broke something that is not tangible. How about violated or circumvented or apposed the law. Ordinance sounds less serious than law when it comes to traffic issues. Just something I like to use so I don't feel so guilty about it. A sheriff used the term infraction once when he pulled me over. Before that time every officer prior used the "Broke the Law" terminology with me. Last time I was pulled over I immediately told the officer that "I know I made an infraction of the traffic code." He must of been impressed with the terminology so much that he found 2 other issues to site. I think he assumed I was a chronic abuser and had been to court many times!;-) I did not complain since I have had 23 traffic "warnings" instead of tickets. My luck ran out around the age of 23 when Utah went from "County sheriffs" to "Unified Police". There is another term "Sheriff" vs. "Police" for me. Sheriffs sounds so much more human than Police.:)

The last pull over, he probably thought you were a lawyer, using more technical terms.
Many people have aversions to certain terms or preferences to others. In my former world, we stopped using the word accident about 15 years ago and started calling them crashes. I hated that word so I used collisions. They told us to stop using accident because they are not accidents. The brass has their heads so far up their asses or each other's asses they fail to realize the definition of the word accident changed, the very moment a vehicle hit another for the first time. Similarity with a few other words. Surf. Grass, and a whole pile of other words. Pig come to mind. So does rats. You get the picture. Still proud of you my son

I hate those big groups of bikes acting like thugs and making us all look bad.

As the fuel of anti law enforcement continues it is easy to say what was done with video at the "END RESULT"! To bad that someone with him did not have a camera showing the entire chase. And then the front camera video of the CHP not being shown how and why it happened! God I miss the 80's and 90's when everything was not on camera and then posted immediately on YOUTUBE for public opinion. Even in my post, I was trying to be lateral in the cause and effect. Also punishment. But I was not there so I should retract. It is amazing to me that this got so much interest. I fell for it and I am sorry for my reply. Cops save lives, Cops make mistakes, Cops are human, and so are we when we violate the traffic code and endanger others. I pity their jobs for I could not be one of them. I just returned my Sena 10c thinking I needed video and communication. False I do not need to record mine or others mistakes. I will just buy a communication setup so I talk to any of you that I meet up with and talk to my family while riding.

I had to go back and re-read your posts here. I did not see ,or remember if you already deleted, anything that I though you needed to retract.

Not everyone is going to agree with my positions on many things. But I absolutely support anyone's right to voice and opinion, so long as it is not hateful. Really, even then, I really don't give a rats ass.

Keep on riding Bubba. Ride safe.

Now as I said before, it is time to in-subscribe to this post for me. I have said my piece.

that makes 4 things not to discuss in a public forum....religion, politics, your buddies wife or GF, and now law enforcement. In all honesty, Randy is the only law enforcement officer (current, or former) I have ever talked with on a consistent basis. That will never change. I have my reasons, but I'm certainly not posting them here. Posting in a public forum can't ever be completely erased.

I respect your view point as a policy especially the buddies wife!;-) I came from a close neighborhood of sheriffs growing up and friend with. I respect every law officer that I have ever met or been pulled over by. Why, because they treated me with the same. I did make a quick judgement not knowing the situation on this officer like most do and I think I made it clear that I should not have. What I have said and, I made an apology for, I will stand judgement from those that see it. I support those that wear the uniform because it is a damn hard job to do! As far as erasing something completely publicly posted I don't think that I need to be concerned with that kind of paranoia. But, that is just me and time will tell when I run for public office or get put in a room at the airport flying that I almost never do. ;-)

Actually, there is no such thing as an accident. If there is an incident, it was caused by either an unsafe act or an unsafe condition, both of which were someone's choice to allow them to exist. This mindset is how some manufacturers consistently have zero OSHA recordables (thus zero or very few hurt people). They remove unsafe conditions, train their people not to commit unsafe acts, use accountability, and pay less money than their unsafe competition and make more money in the end. A vehicle wreck is either caused by an unsafe act or an unsafe condition. Example: tar snakes = an unsafe condition. They should be banned and roads should be built better the first time then fixed properly when needed. Obviously, DOT's don't care about the safety of motorcyclists. Over and out.
