Glad you are OK. I hit a deer last fall in my civic and will never forget the sound the impact made. Wrote the car off too. Can't imagine it happening on the bike.

At least if you sell the bike you can truthfully say "it's never been down" in the ad....... glad you're ok!

I talked to my insurance company again today. It sounds like they are going to total her...Too much damage.

They will come out to inspect her to make final determination, but it sounds like they won't spend that much on a 2002. I want to try to buy her back, as I have lots of mods and parts I like. We'll see what happens.

She looks pretty bad sitting in the garage. There are deer parts and fluids all over, and she is leaking oil. The insurance does not want me to clean anything up, including my riding gear.

After a ride, I always gave her a good wipe down with Plexus to get the bugs off and leave a nice shine, then covered her up. For the first time, so got neither...

See how much they will sell it to you. Could be worth a project bike.

Right now my rebuilt crashed 5 Gen is my track bike. I'm still considering having it re-registered for the street but part of me doesn't want to deal with the DMV!

Glad you're OK, those look rather more substantial than our hoppy rats here. Not suprised that the insurance company wrote it off. Fixing it would have been two dear.

Like all, I'm glad you are ok. Nice skill set to keep it up and you not down. My luck was a little better with antelopes. Those little speedy bastards almost did me in near Elko Nevada! I did not collide, but literally missed it by less than a foot as it cleared my front tire. But as some said or not "Good Eats as jerky". Antelope not so much! :) But if you did try to cut it up while waiting I am sure you would have to deal with the DLM. Probably charged with poaching. ;-)

I'm back in the saddle again!

Insurance totaled her and I received a very generous settlement.

I found a very clean, low mile, well equipped 2004 for a very fair price and it was close to home too!

Rode ACH a couple weeks back and she works great.

I liked silver, but red is growing on me...
