I have a custom made 2014 Honda VFR800F for sale. First hand customized to give you that 2 stoke feeling without having to mix the oil and gas together. It is self combining with the ease of filling the tank with gas and then adding oil to the crank is amazingly smooth. No more measuring the mix. Just look at the oil window and fill to the appropriate level desired. It's been a 3 yr project and finally completed. The process of over heating it, over filling it and over revving it on break was a arduous task. I completed the project just a few days ago and was confirmed so by certified technicians. Paper work confirming can be provided if necessary. Do miss out on this one of a kind deal. Take it to shows, take it to the track and show all of your friends this one of a kind Beauty! Price is negotiable with my Credit Union! :wheelie::Frusty::Pout:

Good attitude Bubba, go after the problem with a sense of humor. It may not help, but will cut down on the ulcers. :)

Ring ding ding. If your bike is blowing 2 stroke smoke, Houston we have a problem.

No smoke that I can see, and I know a blow head gasket or blown rings will produce visible smoke. It just is taking about a 1/4 quart every 800-900 miles. Just trying to be the stupid humor guy that I am. I will have it looked into at the end of sept or Oct. I did a harsh break in and super over heated it up a canyon last year. I owe what it is worth so no dumping it on someone else just yet! ;-)

I always have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor! Works most of the time unless my ills are my car or bike!;-)

What smell do you get when warming up the bike? With synthetic oil, I would think nothing since C02 is odorless, or do you get a smell like a 1967 Mustang when warming up with around 7868 miles on it? I love the exhaust smell like a old car and if normal great. If no one does, then it is confirmed that the break-in and the over heating has caused some cylinder and ring issues for me. No white smoke- no major damage but enough to concern me. I have tonight put the trip meter at a 1000 miles to see what oil usage I lose. I know the smell of conventual oil burning, and do not know the smell of pure synthetic that it has in it now. Let me know. Like I said the exhaust smells like an old car without a converter.

1.) Break-in is a thing of the past
2.) Engine "warm up" is a myth
3.) If the bike didn't go into limp mode, shut off, or blow all of it's coolant out the overflow, it just got hot, it didn't overheat
4.) If you are worried about the oil loss, Leak down test the engine. More definitive than a basic compression check.

Norcal boy What do you mean "leak down test"! I only knew something was wrong when it lost power and I pulled over on the canyon road and killed the engine I looked down at the gauges and it said 263 degrees. And then It did blow all of the coolant out in the overflow on the right side. Within 2 minutes I lost most if not all coolant on the boil out. It was like seeing someone bleeding out. Please advise me on the "Leak down test"

Basically a leak down test is a process by which you remove a spark plug, pressurize the cylinder, and measure how much and how
fast the pressure leaks down, hence a "leak down" test.

NorcalBoy, It Bleed out like a scene from a horror movie! It definitely OVERHEATED. Mini Geyser! Hissing and all out the overflow. Sucks that I didn't look down earlier loosing power but I did a few seconds later looking at my fuel gauge. Pulled over switched to engine temp, 263 and while doing so it did what is described above. Bad thermostat fucking $4 part. If I ever have a opportunity to buy a new bike a few years past its manufacture date I will replace the thermostat, oil and the coolant asap.
