Installing a new windshield on a 5th generation VFR is very simple, there is a total of 8 screws to remove. You will need a Phillips screwdriver and an Allen wrench:

    Remove these 2 screws:

Use your Allen wrench to remove your mirrors:

Under the mirrors is 1 more screw to remove, after that you should have:

Place your new windshield in nice & snug making sure the clips are in on the front and aligning the holes up for the screws:

Put all your screws back in applying threadhold if you have any ;)

    End result:

    Enjoy!

And be careful of those tabs! I bought my bike used and was given the stock windscreen with a tab broken. I thought how careless! until I went through several looking for a good height. I broke a tab on the first one :)
