86 700 Engine questions

    I purchased a 1986 VFR700f2 with 34k miles on it. The engine seems to run fine, but just doesn't sound right. How often do the valves need to be adjusted and how much does this cost?

    Valve check should be done every 8000miles or every 12 months.......
    I havent paid to have it done before, BUT it onlt akes a few hours of time to do your self..(time will vary depending on skill, and it easier the second time round)
