Just got it installed - looks fantastic! It's dark now so I'll try to take some pics tomorrow. One unexpected benefit is the weight savings. By adding the tail tidy I shaved just over 9/10 of a pound of dead weight! I figured it would save a tiny bit of weight but not almost an entire pound. Here are the precise measurements:

The old fender that was removed weighed 492.4 g (1.086 lb)
    Cam's tail tidy weighs only 83.5 g (0.184 lb)
    Total weight savings = 408.9 g (0.901 lb)

When weighing the old fender I did include the old rear reflector which is also removed and the nut which holds that reflector on. Also, I did not include the 2 sets of screws and washers that held the old fender on in either measurement since they are also used to hold the new tail tidy on.

Tail Tidy probably does save some overall weight on some bikes until ya put something innit. I'm thinking that it could be a slogan on one of those "Pride" parade floats or at least good for a few Tshirt sales.

Sorry aboot the confusion. I read through the whole thread with the understanding that there was weight savings upon installing your Tidy Tail. I must first address any question aboot my own tail being tidy. Yes, it is, and save a yearly physical exam, a one way usage.

I would suggest save for carrying aboot an anti-gravity module in the bike version of a tidy tail, the accounted for weight savings is only in effect when the orifice is sans packing.

That what I be talkin bout.

Not sure what PyschoBB just said since he's on my ignore list, but my advice is...

...especially a self-appointed "troll of the year" who hasn't ridden a VFR in several years. If he starts making physical threats with creepy references to your kids (like he did to me) don't say I didn't warn you :D

I suppose this has the implication that minigator is not going to be forthcoming on exactly what it is he hopes to pack in his lightweight rear orifice.

12 tidies left from Production Run #3 (which will be the final run by the way). Get 'em while they last!

I was only interested in the empty weight of one. Full up with something like antimatter of course one would be fairly heavy.

Some boring statistics... it was a slow Monday.

There are still 9 tail-tidies available from the final ever production run. Across all three runs, here is the breakdown of units sent by country.

They are evil Do Not Do It! They take your soul away if you fail.:Rant:They show your inner truth if you are Impatient and cocky enough not to read instruction.

You are now warned. But they are cool and great that NZCam made them at the same time.

Production Run #3 is sold out.

Although my powder-coating & welding contact has retired, I may do one more run but it will require a larger waiting list, and the tidies will cost more (due to the commercial rather than mates-rates cost of a professional metal finish). If you're keen and don't mind waiting, please email me at nz.cam@hotmail.com and let me know that you'd like to be added to the waiting list. This is not a commitment to purchase;- once there are at least 24 people interested, I'll email everyone and confirm participation and cost.

    Cheers - Cam
