Thanks! You can get the stuff I used at autozone in the performance section oddly enough. It's not worthit to me though, it was not good quality and it didn't stick very well. 3M makes carbon fiber wraps in regular and different colors though. I am using 3m 1080 and I like it a lot. If you're going to wrap I suggest 3m 1080. The seat cowl was not too hard to do. I bet you and buddy could knock it out in under 30 minutes.

Looks pretty darn good. I think you can order OEM decals from servicehonda or ronayers or places like that. you could prob find someone on ebay who'll do custom decals, too and you could just send them a high res pic of the vfr logo.

Nearly there, the tank is going to get done sometime this week. It's turned out pretty nice though.

So I decided I couldn't leave it just plain white so I added a little black. Turns out vinyl takes to krylon fusion very well! I still have the right side fairing to paint but that'll be done tomorrow. I'll take some more pics in the day time but in the mean time let me know what you think. The best part about this is I can remove all the vinyl and underneath is the original red plastics.

I also installed heli bars today as well. That took up a good chunk of time and I can't wait to feel difference. It was really easy just took a lot of time being careful.

I'm wondering if this film is gonna stick on some of the VFRs here that do 175+ mph and get 65-70 mpg?

probably will, those bikes have a sticky compound on them so the rider will adhere to the bike and not get swept off in the high speed winds created by the 175MPH + speed runs

What does the mpg have to do with it and yes it would stick
you would have to blast air between the plastic and the film to get it off simply blasting air straight onto would not do anything. Ill let.you know how it holds.up at 150 though.

The mileage thing factors in. I knew some guys who got swept up in a tornado. Both of them landed fine but ran out of gas and had to walk home barefoot in the snow.

    Uphill even?

Ken, Badbilly was making a joke about how fast and how good of mileage has been "reported" with the VFR...

Yes, uphill is a bitch but it's all downhill after that. This wrapping ain't nothin new. The harleydoods have been doing it with duct tape for years.. Even the hard cases who swore by chicken wire have seen the light..

I've never considered wrapping a bike....but this thread has really got me thinking about it. My 83 project has bodywork that's all there - it's just scraped and faded. I'd toyed with teaching myself to paint, but it looks to me like wrapping would be a neat alternative...less materials to buy, and a lot less mess to deal with! I have a buddy that works for FastSigns - think I'll pick his brain about materials, processes and pitfalls.
