Wow! I've seen machine shops with less dial gauges than you have! That just tells me the quality of your work. Good luck!!!

The dial gauges belong to someone else.

Last night, Patrick finished assembling the heads, setting the valve clearances, and setting the cam timing. 200 psi compression on all 4 cylinders, cold. With the head/piston work and optimized cam timing the compression ratio is now 12.7:1. Should have the bike completely assembled very soon.......it should be visceral

Sweet Ronnie! You must be stoked to finally start gettin' the ole girl back together! Can you still run pump gas with this higher compression, correct?

Maybe you can PM some numbers after the dyno run...as I am anixous to see/know. I promise not to tell anybody I give you my word of honor as a :ninja:

Visceral is a good word. I can almost feel the power just looking at it and knowing how much work has been done to it.
I still say it will be one of the top 5 VFRs in the world.

The Toro Charger is also in that list and I allowed 3 spots for any that have been heavily upgraded that I do not know about. So I guess that would make yours number ONE in the world in the 6th gen catagory(according to my list).

And where is this infamous list that you boast about?

Is it on the net somewhere for all of us to peruse?

Yes, it was built to run on pump gas. That really was the only stipulation, the rest was totally at the discretion of my engine guy. I might do some comparison runs with oxygenated race fuel, but only to gather data.

I have to break it in first, so it will probably be month before it goes on the dyno. Factory Pro is going to do the tuning on their inhouse EC997. I also have done some additional mods to the airbox, so we are going to be doing a little testing with air filters and velocity stacks, to determine the best combination. VTEC FTW!

I must have missed something. It is very obvious some type of engine work is being done, that much I can tell. The question here is, what exactly is being done here & what is the desired result?

    KC-10 FE out...

I looked at these guys a year ago when I decided I might do something internal to the engine. After much research and email writing, I decided to go with this guy. I have learned a little bit about V4 engines and V4 VTEC valvetrains in the last year and it's because of folks like these. One thing I will say, if you are gonna make a ton of HP it has to be rideable or it's useless. You can build an engine for massive HP, but it can be a complete waste when applied to the real world.
