I gotta admit, I was really hoping Rossi could pull out number ten this year, just because of all that he's overcome, but this is pretty insurmountable.

I also like Dovi and Marquez and I think it's going to be a battle between those two, with Viñales as a real wild card.

Well the surgery went well and they've pinned both bones, as it's his right leg he can have a thumb brake fitted

Hutchy has raced in a worse state than he'll be by next weekend, with hyperbaric chambers etc I really wouldn't be surprised to see him out next weekend with a fibreglass cast on, a finish in the 5-8 place is possible given his knowledge of the track, which will give him some points

Remember Lorenzo racing on Sunday after breaking his collar bone on Friday?

Rossi isn't ready to quit yet, he's tough and as the races are so short these days, 75 miles isn't even 2 laps of the TT course

Van Der Mark is the perfect rider to get Yamaha some manufacturers points whilst not threatening

It'll be interesting to see just what he can do with the factory bike, pity they didn't put him out on it at Misano

Yamaha basically said it would be impossible to replace him for his home race. Since they have 10 days from the time of his absence to do it, they decided not to do it for Misano and wait for Aragon instead.

You probably have to have a MotoGP subscription to watch this but here it is in case you don't.

Rossi has a broken left leg, not right as reported by the media, which puts a different spin on matters

We had BSB from Silverstone this weekend, triple header, first race wet, second dry, third so wet that of 21 starters by lap 9 there were only 7 left circulating, red flagged at 2/3rds race distance, the winner was Dan Linfoot on .......a 2017 Fireblade

Haslam fell off in race 1 & 3, Shakey fell off in race 3, so that's 9 DNF's for Haslam and 8 for Shakey so far this season

    From the MotoGP website...

Valentino Rossi: "Fortunately, yesterday I had a good test with my YZF-R1M in Misano. I tried also the day before, but the rain stopped me after a few laps. Yesterday I managed to complete 20 laps and find the answers I was looking for. Eventually, the test was positive and I want to say thanks to Dr. Lucidi and his staff, who helped me find the best solutions to feel the least amount of pain possible in my leg when I‘m riding. Obviously at the end of the test I was in a little bit of pain, but this morning I went to Dr. Pascarella for a medical check, and it came out with a positive result. At the end I decided I will leave for Aragón and will try to ride my M1 this weekend. If I will be declared fit to ride, I'll have the real answer after FP1, because riding the M1 will be a much bigger challenge. We'll see. See you in Aragon!"

So Rae is currently 120 points in front of Sykes, who is the closest rider in the standings, and with 6 races remaining (France, Jerez and Quatar) leaves 150 points on the table for grabs. This means that Rae can essentially capture the title on the first race in France. I think he has a good chance at making it happen. Even if it takes until race 2, this will be one remarkable event for Rae and WSBK.

I watched that race tonight. Crazy race with 2 bikes exploding into fireballs.

Yeah Rea should should wrap it up in the nest 2 races. Watching history here. Really an amazing career after he left Honda for Kawi.
Did you read the post surgery interview with Sykes?

Have not read that yet. I'll be sure to though. Speaking of fireballs, did you see Sykes "fireball" crash?! Crazy!

Something else record setting happened in the WSBK races this past weekend, Anna Carrasco won the SPP300 race, stole it at the last minute too. I was a cool sight to see, she did a great job fighting it out to the last lap.

Sykes crash was a bad one. Coming down the hill like that made his bail out attempt fail and he's really lucky he was not collected at the bottom with the bike on fire.

We had BSB as well as WSB last weekend, BSB was a triple header as they're into the last few rounds

Wet but some great racing despite the weather
