Slight chance, i'm sure they are testing like crazy and getting their euro superstock teams ready for the season. Ducati is usually pretty careful about racing a new model too soon and now that Dorna has decided to skew the WSBK rules in favor of the teams other than kawasaki, why bother.

The Panigale V4 is an 1100cc displacement. I don't think it can race because the engine is too big.

Maybe Ducati can win races without the extra 200cc’s. Lol

Nobody seen Race 1 from Philp Island then?

Great racing and not the result anyone was expecting

I watched it and just finished watching race 2, much better racing than race 1! There was a time when it was similar to Moto3, swapping places, going from 2nd to 6th and vice verse. Some good stuff by all the front runners and a photo finish to boot!

That was the best race I've seen in years, the compulsory tyre swap made it more interesting although I'm not sure it's a good idea to include in every race, too much room for error

Pirelli didn't get away with it even then by using the "No more than 12 laps per tyre" poor Hernandez had his rear blow up on him, pretty dramatic pic in MCN this week

Finally got to watch race2, and I agree that was one of the best in years. Some of the passing in Doohan corner and Stoner corner were terrifyng. I thought Rea's pass on th last lap in Doohan corner was one of the balliest I have seen. Marco had so much power and speed, just mowed down Rea but Rea shot through on the brakes ..... can't believe he made it stick. But the Desmo power beat hm, 1/200. Wow! Laps 3&4 the commenators were sayng its like a Moto 3 race on the last llap. lol

Marco was doing his best Stoner impersonation on that bucking bronco Ducati. The other Duc riders did not have that issue, ,the commentators said it was because he is so small and light with all that Desmo power. It sure did have enough power to not have to draft Rea at the finish line, just grunt by.

They already were hit with the rev drop, commentators were talking how it was expected to hurt Ducati the most but it sure did not look like it did with the way they were motoring past other racers. Perhaps its the extra 200cc's.

There will be constant changes throughout the year, depending upon competition, but in this day and age, everybody gets a trophy through regulation.

You should try watching it again, the last race was fantastic. Regardless of what rules are implementing it a ton of fun.

Plus, no revisions to the rev limits until after 3 races...

Yeah I think you might like it. Some of the racing at Phillip Island was just nuts no matter the rules. Heading into Doohan corner at blinding speeds 3 wide and sticking it in there was white knuckle racing. Same with Stoner corner, 3 wide super Bikes on 1 wheel at ridiculous speeds.
