    The 2017s look good!

If you replace your exhaust with an aftermarket, I'll buy your OE muffler ;) We didn't get that style in the US and I prefer it over the 2014-16 round can.

Glad to hear you picked her up. Did you go for the service plan in the end?

I'm still thinking about it and want to get a few more service quotes. The dealer reckons it's worth it though didn't try and push me into buying - he said that they can lose out as the Labour that Honda pays doesn't always cover the actual time taken.
I've got 30 days to decide - or, up until the 600 mile service (which will be due in abou 10 days )

Should get the 600 service done inside 10 days so will be opening her up a bit then!

Feels a little slow coming off my Speed Triple but that did have a K&N filter, Scorpion exhaust and remap. And 1 tooth off the front and one on the rear sprocket.
Plenty of time for a few changes to the VFR

WOW! Welcome and congratulations on your sexy moto!

Would look very beautiful in front of some rolling green hills and blue skies with a few puffy clouds... ;)

Hope you get some weather you can ride in and enjoy!

That's only because you haven't taken her up to the VTEC range, it'll piss on a Speed Triple, the gearbox is also vastly superior, as is the handling

Wait until you have 14,000 plus on that engine, it'll free up and you'll be used to the V4 motor by then

VTEC won't kick in until engine reaches 168 degrees, so let her warm up for awhile.

Try coming from a modified Busa...
But I will say, the gen8 does feel slower than my old '06 viffer. Might just be smoother like the reviews say and that feels slower.
If a speed tripple has the same performance numbers as the Daytona (pretty sure same engine specs), you are spot on. The Daytona is hands down quicker, and better handling, but not near as comfy!

I find my 8th gen engine smoother and more manageable than my 2003 6th gen I traded in, even with a PC III. Slower?, doubt it very much.

Very nice Stevie! The Digital Silver looks pretty cool (almost as cool as the Pearl White - haha)

Fortunately I didn't have this problem coming from a PCX150 scooter and a Ninja 300 - my VFR felt like a fucking rocketship when I first got on it :D But then I made the mistake of taking a Busa and an S1000RR for a test ride and now it feels more like a Space Shuttle in glide mode - LOL.

FWIW, according to zeroto60times.com (see screenshot pic below), among the 5th, 6th, and 8th gens, the 8th gen is the fastest from 0-60 but the slowest in the 1/4 mile. This makes sense given I believe Honda claimed to have reworked the engine to improve lower end power/torque (presumably at the expense of a bit of top end performance). So for just screwing around between say 0-100mph the 8th gen should be able to hold its own against the 5th and 6th gens.

    Saw that myself too.
I do remember when the vtec kicked in in my gen6, it def had a bigger punch and felt faster alltogether...for me anyway.
Are they bringing the '17s to the states? What other colors are there for 17? They the same bike as the 14/15?
