So, Spring break I decided to go to Arizona on my '85 VF700F. It was a fun trip, until my head gasket blew. Actually, I think it was cracked before I even left spokane, as I was having some overheating problems last fall. They kind of went away, because the weather got colder...the bike didn't start to overheat until dropping into the valley in California. But making it 1200 miles with a cracked head gasket is a pretty big feat, I think. My roommate was able to drive down to Santa Cruz, CA, the next day and rescue me. It was still a great trip!!

So parts should come tomorrow, I was surprised with how cheap they were. A new head gasket is only 30 bucks. I'm looking forward to fixing it..and getting my wheels back! I'm finding lots of other things as I tear it apart that need to be fixed, so I'm glad I have this opportunity.

    Thoughts?
