... there really are no words... That Is MagniFicent!... Okay, I tried anyway. Where did you find that quote in your signature? Fabulous. If thats the motivation for your VF restomods, I definitely understand!

Thanks. The quote is from Theodore Roosevelt. It isn`t the motivation(that`s my own issue), but it sums it up for me I think.

It pretty much has been my weekend rider for the past year of testing my ideas and just having a blast. Not sure what you mean by fork clearances...?

There aren`t any fork clearance issues. You may have misread a previous post. I said "_If_ the fork legs were not long enough, the front tire would hit the center of the front valve cover on full braking or full bump."

Fortunately, I have it set up so they are.

It is actually very easy to ride and quite capable.

Boy, I'm having trouble finding anything that needs finished! If I had a dollar for every bike that I had finished I'd have....... no dollars.

Need to cut off and smooth a couple unneccessary frame brackets, swap in my fairing frame that I cut off the turnsignal mounts, finish my other tank that I`m doing a flush mount gas cap to, paint the bike, swap over another frame that I`ll get powdercoated silver(or swap to my frame I modified to take an R motor-dunno if I`ll do this though, this one is such a kick like it is), thinking of Samco blue coolant hoses, a few stainless bolts here and there, dissassemble and clean the instruments, etc, etc...

Shot of the left side for a clear view of the driveline. Also polished the ridge and painted the swingarm. Think I`ll do somethin a bit better for the shock reservoir mount though:

Both bikes are gorgeous. I didn't realize that the F model used the frame as part of the cooling system. Or that the thermostat is on the left side. Looks like only one radiator also??

Thanks, the 1984 R`s(which we didn`t get in the US)also used a similar frame design. The 85-86 R`s we did get in the US did away with the frame rail coolant tube and also a front cross frame rail, then beefed up the frame in different areas. Changed the coolant system also so the thermostat is on the right(dunno if the F`s changed since we didn`t get them after 84 in the US).

There are two radiators, just like the R, with the top one behind the headlight being fed air by scoops on the top, bottom and sides of the headlight. If you look just under the "chin" of the front of the fairing, there is a black scoop which encases the bottom of the top radiator.

    Here you go:

I don`t mind, it`s still in limbo though, waiting for more of my attention and a large injection of $$$:

The 7th gen Honda should have built. Modern simplicity + power.

My R is still waiting for some attention to wrap it up. It's been sitting since June and now it doesn't want to fire up. May have to check the fuel filter and/or carbs, the tank is flowing fine. I just haven't had the time to get in the garage to work on it.
