Congratulations and happy anniversary, It seems like there isn't too many 10 year anniversary's any more. If I remember correctly, I once read were 50% of marriages fail within the first five years and only 25% make it to ten. Just had my anniversary on Dec 2 and we celebrated in a 4 star hotel in Seattle that was conveniently located 4 miles from the Seattle motorcycle convention  P.S. Say hello too Miss. March for me :thumb:
Congrats and Hapy Anniversary. I give kudos to anyone who can make marriage work. God knows I couldn't. Or maybe I just wasn't married to the right person.
Happy Anniversary!!! I know how hard it is to maintain a marriage being married...Deployemnts, TDY's, and remotes....blah.... 10 years is quite the accomplishment!!!!!
Thanks guys. I think one of the biggest methods to our success is I encourage my wife to try things she never would. I was into SCUBA stationed on Guam. She didn't want to try it so I bought her an introduction to SCUBA class for her birthday. She loves it & we dive on every vacation we go on. I'm a recreational shooter & life member of the NRA so I bought her her own gun and membership. SHe's SCARY good at shooting now. Until I took her to the range, she had never even seen a gun up close. With motorcycles, she remarked more than a few time she didn't like the fact that I would ride for hours on end. She also remarked that she thought it looked like fun. I bought her a motorcycle less than one week later. I bought one I like too in case she lost interest. People got to do their own thing & be their own person but on the flip side of that coin, you have to find common ground & interests or your relationship is doomed. & above everything, you have to be friends. Hey Congrats!!! I have never been married, but I wonder if the divorce rate is lower or higher for couples who tour together on a motorcycle. If I had a lady I could trust and enjoyed being with that likes to either ride a bike or ride on the back of my bike - then I would have something I would never want to loose. Seriously true, but nah I like being a womanizer - much more fun and I get to do whatever I want to - most of the time.
Congrats KC, 10 years is definetly rare. I was divorsed for 10 years before getting remarried does that count for anything:tongue:
Yikes, I guess that makes me the old man here .... 39 years and counting. Then again, maybe I married when I was maaaayybeee 3 yrs old!??
I don't care what anyone says, life is easier when you have someone to come home to at the end of the day. In my line of work, that is a huge bonus. KC-10 FE out... lane:
