Finally got around to doing the coil on plug mod on my 5G today.
Can't believe how easy it was.
Bought four 04/05 GSXR750 coil on plug caps for a total cost of $30 with postage.

I also bought an 07 CBR1000 plug harness, I think any two wire Denso plug will do as they are a standard set up, but the CBR was the same colour code as the VFR.

I dismantled the wiring loom from the CBR, and removed individual plugs and leads.
I got rid of the heavy standard coils and leads, cut off the female spade connectors to the coils, and soldered the new colour matching denso plugs with a bit of heat shrink.
Fired up first go, and saved around a kilo of weight, and took a lot of clutter from my air box and frame.
All up around 2 hours of work.
Fleabay is my friend, sadly second hand parts here in Oz are way too expensive, got them for a tenth of the cost from the US, and got them within two weeks.

They actually take up a bit less space than the original ones.
The seals could be a tighter fit, but will check on water entry after a rainy day.
Wouldn't be hard to make them seal better, I'll give it a go when I pull them out to check plug burn after the next hard ride.
