Found a 2010 vfr 1200 standard for $6,500 with 650 miles on it. Like new. Always kept in a heated & a/c control shop one owner. Is this a good price and what should I be expecting from this bike. I'm in Mississippi so we can ride about year round. Bike had new battery and has Corbin seat with the small rear compartment. Also has the stock OEM seat. [IMG]

I know about the driveshaft recall. He said he did not get a notice from Honda about it and he did not about it. My dealer should check that out. Does Honda just check the driveshaft and replace if found faulty? Or do they just replace? Also I read on this forum about some early models having motor trouble in Europe due to metal shavings in the motor did any usa bikes have this problem? Thanks

They just pull the VIN #, check the computer if it's been replaced, if it hasn't, they replace it as long as your bike falls under the recall.

He told me that it has not been replaced. He did not know about the recall. I'm getting bike tomorrow and I will call my Honda shop next week for the driveshaft recall.

I saw that bike on the floor used when I was looking and it was the one I wanted. I usually don't go under 1100cc. Great buy! Have fun. As long as the shaft is sorted out.

Now that is a sexy bike with that red and the silver and black accents. Don't get me wrong I like mine but this is what I wanted but was used and could not contact the owner at that dealership to get a price. ( it was the lead techs and on vacation) I also like that Honda went with silver wheels instead of the copper/gold wheels on the 2014800

I just called my local Honda dealer. He told me when I get the bike to call him with vin and he would order the driveshaft and when it gets in I can ride the bike to shop and wait on it.

It would be interesting to see if the new shafts are having any issues like the originals. They stated that they where avaliable starting 2014-2015. Should give someone time to put some miles on it!:)
