Well they both have 4 wheels............ lol

GG loves to defend Honda. But the new CBR is really just a 2008 with some electronics thrown on with new plastics and paint. Look and ride a GSXR, R1 or the Kawi and you have real new bikes. Norca is right, they have not put money or effort into sport bikes in a long time. Band aids at best.

Actually, all I do is merely put the many Honda whiners' comments on this forum in a fair and balanced perspective. For example, anyone reading your hilarious comment above about the '17 CBR not being a "real new bike" like the Kawi, Suzuki, and Yammi should watch this review (spoiler alert - the new CBR "band aid"came in 1st place :D )

LOL - I've never been an ambulance chaser but if I ever decide to go that route I can't think of a better bike to do it on than a '17 CBR1000RR SP2 - they'd never get away from me if I had those Marchesini wheels! Hmmm...I wonder if I could write off the cost as a "business expense" :D

Seeing what SP2's cost could you imagine putting the 10k into any of the 1K bikes that go for around 15k?! They would eat SP2's for lunch and still spit out several thousand dollars.

Maybe so, but adding 10K in performance mods to a bike would probably violate the warranty. I'd want the peace and mind of knowing my bike is under full warranty if I'm chasing ambulances on it for a living :D

No waiting on Tony Robins to show up in my studio for a live broadcast. Ton of work then a long waiting game.

Yes, your right. What I wrote was based on incorrect information I had.

You can buy the new V4 Duc for less than a Honda SP2...................... I really wish Honda would get back into the game.
One thing that Honda did start in GP and the other teams now have is a counter rotating crankshaft. The new Duc has it too. Very cool tech on a street legal bike, helps counter gyroscopic forces, help keep the front wheel down and the other thing I did not think about is engine braking with this system helps keep the rear tire from lifting under heavy braking. The reports I have read on the electronics say they are just wonderful. And 220 hp with the Akra exhaust with the V4 sound is just crazy fun.

A couple more - so far all the reviewers seem to love it.

Is the second picture before the fire? Unclear due to Ducati's build quality.
