Reactivating this thread for my Canadian mates.
Just order Dupont Chain Saver from Canadian Distributor CORE or Competition Off Road Equipement in Ottawa: Competition Off Road Equipment
They don't seem to carry the Dupont degreaser.

HAH! I thought my local Wallys would provide. Alas not. They do have this combo and the grunge brush at another store that's about 300 miles from my cave. This is not one of those "have it delvered to your store" combos either. You can call customer service but instead of an Arkansas accent you will experience Bollywood.

Get the whole package from Amazon..

Unfortunately for us Canadian, amazon.ca is not as diversified as amazon.com.

    DuPont Chainsaver

Since this thread was resurrected, I thought I would mention that after a summer of riding some 16,000 plus miles, the chain on my 2004 VFR still looks good and there is no play between the chain and the rear sprocket.
It has been adjusted once and probably really didn't need that. You know how we often think we need to do some maintenance whether it is needed or not.

The Chain Saver has been applied every 300 to 500 miles and the chain has never been cleaned. It doesn't seem like cleaning it is necessary when using the Chain Saver.
I would not buy the Chain Cleaner again since I don't use it.

We don't clean our chains. That task is left for you pansie asses south of the 49th who think a little cool air and rain is reason to park a bike in a dry garage for 8 moths of the year.

Tierra del Fuego is South of the 49th too as is the whole of OZ and that place with all those birds who dress up in tuxedos and walk funny.

Renault used to make Fuego too, wonder if dem Ozzonians would consider drivig one of those or just continue hitch-hiking on the yellow road.

Do them Ozzonians listen to Ozzy Osborne?

The Renault Fuegos have all gone South. I would submit there may be few Ozzy fans in OZ but whether they would hitchhike to see him is a question only answerable by a native thum.

What kind of proof is there to demonstrate that fancy, ozone-eating chemicals from a major polluter is any better than motor oil on chains ??

Who needs proof when opinions that sound like proof are good enough?

I was looking at something that does not fling off the chain. Stuff the fling off the chain also get into the nature. I am also concerned by the chemical I use to clean the chain and crud on the bike, and disposal of this crud.

I hope I will be able with this chain wax to limit the use of degreaser and no longer need to find environmentally friendly chain crud disposal. I am maniac at this, I use only one shop towel for possible spill and to clean the drain pan when I do my motor oil change and dispose it with the oil and the filter at my local eco center (any garage should take it).

I hate Walmart but it is the only store around South Florida that sells Dupont Chain Saver.
I have become a big fan of it (Chain Saver not Walmart).
It's not "wax", it's not "lube" and like several other things in life, once you try it you may not go back to your old sticky and messy ways!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy sticky and messy but not on my motorcycles.

I continue to forget to service my chain regularly, and I don't care. But when I do remember to do so, I use the DuPont product, just because.

Nobody would ever catch me touting for a product that's bad for the atmosphere and requires deadly hazardous chemicals to manufacture, sold by the #1 job-killing company, WalMart and manufactured by a #1 polluter. It's not nearly green or sustainable, teflon. Save the planet first, corporate profits later.

I've been using the chain wax for two years. I started with a new chain at the time. No grease or grime type film on chain or as flinging material. It will collect dust type dirt over time. I take a shop rag and run the chain through it a couple of times, dry, and the dirt comes off. Chain is still in great shape. The chain wax is basically self cleaning. Like bottom paint on some racing boats. I buy mine at Lowe's. I'm thru with oil/grease base products.

A little trivia here. Back in the day before O-ring chains. We would use solid roller chains soaked in paraffin wax on our race bikes for the start of long endurance races. Really cut down on chain adjustments.

OMG: I mean, are you in any way compensated for by Lowes for your endorsement ?? Why not the The Home Depot ? U own stock or were they some racing sponsors ?

When did Exxon buy DuPont? I guess I'm just not keeping up lately.
