Does anyone know if I can buy cheaply fairings grommet(nut side), where bolt goes into it? Like from ebay or china or something?

Is there any other alternate replacement you guys have used for it?

No one chimed in? As far as bolts go, there are plenty of alternative choices, many can be found on eBay. Sometimes the kits have the bolts, well nuts and plastic panel clips. There is a caveat though, some of the bolt kits don’t have the same head size of the OEM bolts and use a plastic shoulder washer to make up the difference.

Not sure what your budget is but Pro-Bolt has SS kits (I believe minus the well nuts) for about $70. http://www.probolt-usa.com/config-stainless-steel-fairing-kit-honda-vfr800-v-tec.html The heads on these bolts look the same if not larger than the OEM bolts.

As far as well nuts go, they can be bought at places like Home Depot or Lowes and perhaps Cycle Gear. I’ve been buying mine in bulk from www.clipsandfasteners.com. They come in a box of 25, trust me, they go quick, especially if you do a lot of service on the bike that requires fairing removal.

I believe the model/part number that fits the VFR main fairings is 16248. The few that go into the front and rear sub frame I think is the 16242. I can double check that but below is the catalog that gives the dimensions of them.

Looking at some of these cheaper options, don't want to spend too much :D

Any thoughts which is going to be a better choice than the other one? Or if you know anything else, please feel free to suggest :)

I like the top kit, it actually looks like the bolt heads are on par with the OEM bolts. As far as part #14 on the parts fiche, those are the well nuts that can be found at Clips and Fasteners (#16248)

Here is another source. Like mentioned though, the Well Nuts are readily available at places like Home Depot and I suspect many other a=hardware locations
