GIVI Side case rack: Help needed

Bought an 09 VFR and it came with V35 side cases and GIVI MONOKEY racks and no instructions. I'm clever enough to think that perhaps there's a piece or two missing. Does anyone else have this same setup? There are so many racks available out there and not enough detailed pictures i'm hoping to draw on experience. Have a look at the pictures and see if you can tell what model of rack and what might be missing so that |I can describe it to a vendor. I'm stumped. It looks to me like it requires a top case rack as well to handle some of the wieght?



and as an aside, im looking for a set of grab rails, a topcase and a rack if anyone has a set to sell.

 

Unfortunately I don't have the same set up. I'm sure someone here has and will chime in.

Unfortunately no. I did manage to mount the cases but when mounted there is a piece that sticks up that is clearly meant to mount to either a top case OR a mounting point on a different bike. This piece is crucial for adding wieght to the bags. It's far to unstable without the points being mounted. I wish I was a welder, i'd just fab something. GIVI doesnt believe in part numbers for some reason as I can find no denotations on the racks themselves. UGHHHH. I may just have to order another set of racks.

 

that is the PLXR166 - V35 RAPID RELEASE SIDEFRAME looks like you are missing the grab handle plate for the top mount.
