Happy Robbie Burns day to all of you, but especially all you ole fukken cantankerous stubborn Scots.

    Haggis.jpg highland park.jpg Here’s a bottle and an honest man –
What would ye wish for mair, man.
Wha kens, before his life may end,
What his share may be o’ care, man.

So catch the moments as they fly,
And use them as ye ought, man.
    Believe me, happiness is shy,
And comes not aye when sought, man.

I guess people like me prefer to give the honourable evening more credit adn class giving it both the given and family name of the person for whom it is named after. Otherwise it sound more like experiencing the typical dinner event put on by one's ex wife who couldn't cook mac and cheese without producing that distinct aroma after she "Burns" the food.

I would love to enjoy a wee dram or two with you sometime. You and a couple others were specifically on my mind when I posted this.

Presently, I am researching my family history becasue I want my family Coat of Arms. Problem is though, it all depends on which branch of the family I descend from. The Coats of Arms are very similar for each of them. I think the only difference is the colour

I usually call "Cheeky" my blacktail prairie dog (Cynomys ludovicianus) a "wee beastie" in Burns' honor, of course.

    Thanks Randy,

good haggis is hard to come by where I live, for some reason most Aussies seem to have a deep seated loathing of what I would regard as all the tastiest, most nourishing and beautifully economical cuts of meat. Funnily enough I've found that if you drink enough Scotch you can turn almost any food into something that at least looks like Haggis. :)
