I just had the pleasure of buying myself an '02 vfr. Got a smokin deal on it due to a rebuilt title (just some damaged plastics that had already been repaired.) The beauty only has 4700 miles on it.

I'm sure you will be hearing from me plenty on maintenance advice and ride info!

I think so indeed, 3300 for whats practically a branny new '02. The title is the only thing that's scarred

Whoever bought it most likely rear-ended a lifted pickup, the headlight and cowling were smashed, the the oil cooler got damaged from the pushed fairings. I saw all the parts that were broken (and replaced) and the thing runs @ 100%.

Has a cold starting issue (takes about 5 tries) but from what I've read here that may be because I put in 92 octane gas and its 38 degrees out.

Chain needs to be lubed, and could use some sidebags, otherwise its perfect! A little different compared to the 08 fjr I used to ride. Thought something was wrong with the bike because it lugged in every gear below 4k.. whereas the FJR pulled like my corvette. The vtech kick-in is somethin else too.

I felt the same way when I first got mine. I went from an 05 Busa to my 06 VFR. I got rid of the busa to slow my roll and succeded with the VFR. I own 4 bikes right now and really like the VFR. Great all around Bike. I dont now how big you are but you may want to pick up a set of Sonic springs and gp valving. Make a ton of difference. Take care and welcome!
