Help - body panels...

Purchased a new rear end fairing for my bike from the USA (I’m in UK) about a year ago - today I’m at the point of checking everything fits during my resto.... and I find this



Looks like the body panels I had have been resprayed on the whole bike with a pearl paint.... nothing matches original panels, I might cry a little. The rear end fairing cost me £150 (UK) to import.

Should I just set fire to it now?

I keep a couple out of date cell phones and pagers around. Every other year or so, when stuff like this happens, I pull one out and hurl it against a brick wall. The explosive particulation is very satisfying, and I don't have to apologize to anyone, repair anything, or pay for a replacement.
