That technique worked on my ST1100 when I had a bum ankle. Wasn't easy, though.

I had a lot of pain in my hands and wrists when I first got my VFR. I got a pair of grip puppies and they really helped. I was thinking about raising the bars, but now I don't need to.

I just did my first trip on the new Viffer, for comfort I did an Airhawk on the seat which worked great, and a tank bag that I layed on for most of the trip, I could not have done it without the tank bag to take the weight off my arms.

Your set-up is very handsome. I bought an Airhawk also, but I didn't like the squishiness separating me from a firm feel for what the bike was doing. I tried different amounts of inflation and just couldn't find more comfort without losing the "bike feel." Glad it's working for you though.

Thx JO, I just got the bags, they were only $50 a piece shipped and fit great!

The key to the Airhawk seat is less is more, let the air out until your butt touches the seat and close the valve. For the cost they work great IMO for extra comfort/miles, I'll only use it on trips as the stock seat works great for me commuting and day rides.
